• 2017 RMAC Javelin Throw Champion

2020 Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Did not compete.

2019 Outdoor (Junior): Redshirt season.

2018-19 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Did not compete.

2018 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in the javelin throw at five meets, including the RMAC Championships... Set the former Maverick record in the event with a throw of 55.18m (181-0) at the UVU Collegiate Invitational... That mark led the RMAC season-long performance list and ranks him second in program history... Won the event at the Western/GHS Combined Invitational... Also threw the discus for the first and so far only time in his collegiate career at that meet, recording a mark of 36.79m (120-8)... Finished 10th in the javelin at the RMAC Championships.

2017-18 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Did not compete.

2017 Outdoor (Freshman): Threw the javelin at four meets, winning the RMAC title with a season-best throw of 53.47 meters (175-5).

2016-17 Indoor (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Prep: Finished fourth in the shot put at the Jeffco 4A/5A League Meet as a senior in 2016 at Lakewood HS... Had a PR of 45-1 earlier in the year... Had a PR of 125-3 in the discus throw at the 5A Jeffco League Relays Meet... Finished ninth in the triple jump as a junior at the 2015 Jeffco 4A/5A League Meet.

Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering technology... Son of David and Diane Payseno... Has one older sibling (Cameron).

Why I Chose CMU: "I Chose CMU for the chance to continue my athletic career as well as get a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.  Also, for all of the outdoor activities you can do in the backyard of CMU."
