Before CMU: Attended and ran for the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves for two years (2024-26).
2026 Outdoor: Ran on the Pack’s 4x400-meter relay at the season-opening Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational, his only race of the season.
2025-26 Indoor: Ran in four meets, contesting mostly the 400 meters and the 4x400-meter relay… Had a season-best time of 49.91seconds in the 400 meters at the New Mexico Team Open… Had a 300-meter time of 35.77 seconds at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational, which was also in Albuquerque, N.M.
2025 Outdoor: Contested the 400-meter hurdles at four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Set a season-best time of 56.55 seconds at the Chuck Haering Classic… Finished 14
th at the RMAC Championships with a time of 56.83.
2024-25 Indoor: Ran in two December meets, posting times of 24.33 (200) and 54.56 (400) seconds.
Prep: 2024 graduate of Mesa Ridge High School… Was the Southern Colorado Springs Metro League champion in the 300-meter hurdles for the Ernie Derubis coached Grizzlies… Placed seventh at the 4A state championships as a senior… Was a 3-time state qualifier.
Personal: Is majoring in psychology… Wants to become a therapist after school with his own practice… Enjoys sewing and loves to run… Son of Fernandez and Sharde Mathews… Has four siblings— Tay, Maq, Jac and Rochon.Â
