Biography
Prep: 2025 graduate of Central High School… Was a 2-time state champion and 3-time Southwestern League Champion pole vaulter for the Ted Leblow coached Warriors… Set a PR mark of 16-4.75 to win the 2025 state title… Was a 4-year league placer… Also earned two academic all-state honors… Was a 3-time academic letterwinner and a STEM letterwinner… Was a CMU tech scholar.
Personal: Has not declared a major… Son of Tammy and Mark Van Maurer… Has two siblings— Hylan and Aurora… Enjoys rock climbing, backpacking and mountain biking.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because it’s in the same town as I grew up and it’s an easy transition into college life.”
