Brian Beeman joined the Colorado Mesa University track and field program as an assistant coach in July of 2015 and was elevated to head coach prior to the indoor season.Â
In his first year as head coach, he coached three RMAC Champions and the RMAC Freshman of the Year. Beeman had two student-athletes qualify for the NCAA Div. II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The women's indoor track and field teams earned the Brechler Award for the team with the highest GPA.Â
Beeman comes to Colorado Mesa University after spending the previous eight years at California State University Chico as both a student-athlete and an assistant coach. During his five year coaching career at Chico, Beeman coached three national champions, 13 All-Americans, six conference champions and 29 all-conference student-athletes. The Wildcats combined for 13 California Collegiate Athletic Association titles in men's and women's track and field.

Beeman was a nationally ranked decathlete at Chico and was a two-time all-conference selection in the decathlon. He earned his bachelors degree in kinesiology and a masters degree in kinesiology: sport and exercise psychology from Chico.
