2026 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Selected to the First Team Academic All-RMAC squad… Also received College Sports Communicator Academic All-District accolades for the second straight year… Raced in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Ran the 1,500 meters at all four and the 5K at two… Had career-best times of 3:55.03 and 14:33.26 in those disciplines in his lone sea-level opportunity of the season at the Bryan Clay Invitational… Ranks fifth in program history for the 5K and sixth for the 1,500 with those times… Qualified for the RMAC Championships in both, placing 19
th in the 1,500 (4:05.93) and 20
th in the 5K (15:52.11).
2025-26 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Named to the First Team Academic All-RMAC squad… Raced in four meets, all in the month of February… Won the 3K with a career-best time of 8:29.47 at the GVSU Big Meet -Saturday to rank third in program history… Posted a career-best mile time of 4:13.93 in the mile a day earlier, also good for the No. 3 spot in program history… Helped the Mavs to a fifth place finish in the distance medley relay at the RMAC Championships with a time of 10:23.41, third fastest in school history… The converted time of 9:56.34 was a NCAA Championship provisional qualifying effort... Was named to the USTFCCCA Academic All-Team.
2025 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Won his second RMAC Summit Award of the year for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete at the RMAC Championships… Was later selected to the RMAC First Team All-Academic squad...Went on to be selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District
® Team... Ran in four meets, qualifying for the RMAC Championships in both the 1,500 and 5,000 meters… Set a season-best time of 4:00.60 in the 1,500 prelims to reach the final, where he placed tenth in 4:06.62… Had a season-best 5K time of 15:06.22 at the Maverick Invitational… Placed 19
th at the conference meet (16:14.86).
2024-25 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Named as the RMAC Summit Award Winner for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete at the RMAC Championships… Also went on to be selected to the RMAC All-Academic First Team… Ran in three meets… Anchored the Mavs to a school-record time of 10:11.53 in the distance medley relay at the Ichabod Invitational… Also helped the Mavs to the 12
th fastest time in program history (10:53.60) at the RMAC Championships, where CMU placed fifth… Ran in the mile individual event on two occasions… Set a season-best time of 4:23.31 at the Ichabod Invitational.
2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Ran the 5,000 meters in two home meets… Posted a season-best time of 15:25.57 at the Maverick Invite #2… Had placed second in 15:29.24 at the Maverick Invite & Multi a week earlier.
2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Ran in two meets, contesting the 5K at both the Big Red Machine and Western Colorado Opens in Gunnison… Had a season-best time of 16:06.94 at the Big Red Machine Open.
2022-23 (Freshman): Redshirted during both indoor and outdoor seasons… Did compete unattached in two indoor and one outdoor meet… Finished the indoor 5K in 16:23.68 at the Mines Winter Classic & Multi before having an outdoor time of 15:39.97 at the Maverick Invite… Had run to a 3K time of 9:24.40 at the Western Colorado Alumni Open.
Prep: 2022 graduate of Otsego HS… Earned all-conference, county and region honors as a senior cross country runner in the fall of 2021, helping the Steve Long coached Bulldogs to a team state title… Finished third at the Wolverine Conference Championships and at the Allegan County Meet before taking eighth at the Lower Peninsula Region 12-2 meet that the Bulldogs hosted… Went on to run a personal record time of 16:29.17 to finish 36
th individually at the state meet… Finished 79
th at the NXR Midwest Regional Championships and 116
th at the Eastbay Region Championships later in November… Was a 3-event conference champion on the track as a senior in the spring of 2022, winning the title in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters as well as in the 4x800-meter relay… Was the regional champion in the relay and the runner-up in the 1,600… Finished 11
th at the state championships in the 1,600 with a PR time of 4:23.58… Took 22
nd at state in the 3,200… Holds other PRs of 1:59 (800) and 9:31 (3200)… Earned Academic All-State honors for cross country in 2021.
Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering with aspirations of working in the aerospace or renewable energy fields… Son of Chad and Teresa Brown… Is the middle of three brothers (Kyle & Trey)… Enjoys disc golfing, biking, hiking, camping and skiing.
