2024 Outdoor (Senior): Competed in four meets, splitting time between the 800 meters and 400-meter hurdles… Had a season-best 800 time of 1:58.66 at the Maverick Invite & Multi… Also ran on a 4x400-meter relay team at that meet… Finished the hurdles in 1:00.44 in his first attempt at that discipline at the Maverick Invite #2… Used that time to qualify for the RMAC Championships, where he finished 19
th in 59.92 seconds.
2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Ran in four meets, contesting the 800 meters at each… Posted a season-best time of 1:59.66 at the New Mexico Team Open… Also ran on a 4x400-meter relay team at the Mountaineer Open, helping the Mavs to a second place time of 3:34.28… Also finished third in the 800 at that meet.
2023 Outdoor (Junior): Competed in two meets… Ran the 800 meters in a season-best 1:59.50 at the CSU Pueblo Open… Ran that event (2:00.36) and the 4x400-meter relay at the Maverick Invite two weeks later.
2023 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Ran in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Had a season-best 800-meter time of 2:03.27 at the Western Colorado Alumni Open… Finished the mile in 4:42.37 in his first career attempt at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic… Helped the Mavs finish seventh in both the 4x400-meter and distance medley relay at the conference championships… Helped the Mavs post times of 3:24.49 and 10:57.06.
2022 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in four meets, running in each of the three at home as well as at the Colorado Invitational… Contested four different disciplines in them… Ran the 800 meters twice, posting a career-best of 1:58.43 at the Maverick Invite… Also helped the Mavs to a time of 3:21.31 in the 4x400-meter relay… Posted a 400-meter time of 52.73 at the Colorado Invitational in his only event of that meet and his only 400-meter effort of the season… Ran the 1,500 meters at the Maverick Top Gun Last Chance Meet, posting a time of 4:21.51.
2021-22 Indoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in three meets, running the 800 meters in each of the first two before running the 400-meter leg on CMU’s distance medley relay team that placed ninth at the RMAC Championships with a time of 11:12.41… Had turned in a season-best of 2:03.29 in the 800 at the New Mexico Classic.
2021 Outdoor (Freshman): Ran the 800 meters at each of CMU’s three home meets, posting a season-best time of 2:01.32 at the Maverick Multi & Open… Also ran on a Maverick 4x400-meter relay team at the Maverick Open.
2021 Indoor (Freshman): Ran once, competing in the 800 meters at the Adams State Grizzly Open… Finished seventh with a time of 2:08.61.
Prep: Graduated from Lakewood HS in 2020… Was a 2-time first team academic all-state cross country runner for the Kyle Gillette coached Tigers… Served as the team captain as a senior in 2019... Finished 76th at the Nike Cross Southwest Regional as a senior in 2019... Set PRs of 2:12.82 (800) and 5:01.52 (Mile) during the 2020 indoor season.
Personal: Is majoring in business… Son of Kathy and Shawn Amori… Siblings are Colleen and Mark… Enjoys skiing, hiking, running and any other outdoor activities.
