CMU Football Bio
2022 Outdoor: Ran in each of CMU’s three home meets… Competed in the 100 and 200 meters at each… Had season-best times of 11.26 and 22.93 at the Maverick Invite #2.
2021-22 Indoor: Competed in one meet, running the 60 and 200 meters at the Western Colorado Alumni Open after making the transition from the football season… Posted times of 7.35 and 23.93 seconds, respectively.
CMU Football: Also a defensive back on the Mavericks’ football team... Defended seven passes while making six tackles in seven games during the fall of 2021.
Before CMU: Had played football at Division II Missouri S&T in 2018 and 2019 after redshirting in 2017… Was not on the Miners’ track & field team.
Prep: Was named as the Eagles’ Newcomer of the Year as a senior in 2017, his first and only season on the high school’s track & field team… Helped the Eagles qualify for the regional championships in both the 4x200 and 4x400-meter relays… Had 22 and 49-second splits in those events… Earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a high school senior in football…Also earned all-district honors following a season when he recorded 45 tackles.
Personal: Attended Dawson High School… Son of Marcus Stevenson and Leah Matthews… Is majoring in computer information systems at CMU.
