2025 Outdoor (Freshman): Named as the RMAC Co-Freshman of the Year after a strong season in the hurdles… Reached the final in both hurdling events at the RMAC Championships, placing fifth in the 400 (53.96) and seventh in the 110 (15.09)… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 400 hurdles… Went on to set a season-best time of 52.35 at the Franson Last Chance Meet in Azusa, California… Ranks second in program history with that NCAA Championship provisional qualifying time… Was fourth on the RMAC performers list and 30
th nationally… Posted a wind-aided season-best of 14.78 (+4.5) seconds in the 110-hurdles at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird… Was tied for sixth on the RMAC performers list with the altitude-adjusted mark of 14.82… Had a wind-legal season-best of 14.90 in the preliminaries of the RMAC Championships to rank sixth in program history… Competed in five meets overall.
2024-25 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in six meets, including the RMAC Championships… Ran the 60-meter hurdles at all six… Finished fifth with a time of 8.37 seconds to claim Second Team All-RMAC honors in that event… Ran a season-best time of 8.25 seconds in the preliminary round… Ranks sixth in program history with that mark… Was tied for fifth on the RMAC’s season-long performers list with the altitude-adjusted time of 8.29… Claimed victory in his first two meets at the Mountaineer Open (Dec. 7) and the ASU Qualifier #1 (Jan. 24)… Also attempted the 200 and 400 meters… Ran to a time of 22.98 in the 200 at the Colorado Invitational after running the 400 in 52.71 seconds a week earlier (Jan. 25) at the ASU Qualifier #2.
Prep: Won both the 110 and 300-meter hurdle titles at the 3A State Championships for the Valley High School Vikings… Set a 110 PR time of 14.36 seconds to do so… Won eight meets in that event as a senior, while placing second in the other three… Took the Weld County and Patriot League titles… Also won in the 300 hurdles, eight times in ten meets, winning the county and league championships as well… Set a PR time of 38.11 at the Longmont Invitational… Took second in the 300 hurdles and fourth in the 110’s at the 2023 state championships as a junior… Placed fifth in the 110’s as a sophomore in 2022.
Personal: Is majoring in civil engineering… Is really interested in water and plans on doing something with that aspect of his career… Son of Holly Allen and James Brownell.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because there is a great CMU/CU partner program for engineering. Also, I really wanted to be a part of the Track and Field Team.”
