As a Senior (2025-26): Led the Mavs with 33 wins… Made program history by becoming the first Maverick men’s player to ever earn Academic All-America honors as selected by College Sports Communicators… Had previously won a third straight Academic All-District honor… Also picked up a fourth straight ITA Scholar-Athlete award… Posted a 17-10 record along with one additional walkover win in doubles alongside partner Henry Scheck… The duo was ranked as high as 11
th nationally, finishing the year ranked 24
th in the ITA’s NCAA Division II rankings… They went 13-8 in the top flight of duals and posted a winning 3-2 record against other nationally-ranked pairs… They also reached the quarterfinals of the ITA West Regional Championships in the fall and were ranked fifth in the region after the fall… Went 16-14 in singles play… Had a 12-10 dual meet record… Went 10-9 in his primary No. 4 spot… Also won both starts at No. 3 and played once at No. 5.
As a Junior (2024-25): Earned Third Team All-PacWest honors in doubles alongside partner Henry Scheck… Went 15-10 with him, including an 11-8 mark in duals… The duo was 10-4 at No. 2 and won seven of their last ten starts overall… They also went 1-4 at No. 1 and were 4-2 in fall season tournaments… Reached the semifinals of the ITA West Regional Championships… Posted a 7-16 overall singles record, including a 5-13 mark in duals… Split time between the top two flights with Scheck, going 3-7 at No. 1 and 2-6 at No. 2… Ended the season ranked 20
th in the ITA’s West Region Ranking as the only Maverick in the final rankings… Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the second straight year… Received an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award for the third straight year… Also named to the Academic All-PacWest team for a third straight year.
As a Sophomore (2023-24): Finished second on the team in both singles (11), and overall wins (21)… Posted a 11-16 record in singles, going 7-13 in duals… Played mostly at No. 2, going 5-12 in that flight… Was also 2-0 at No. 3… Was 10-16 overall in doubles, including a 7-15 dual meet mark… Played mostly at No. 1 doubles, going 5-12 in the top flight… Was 2-3 at No. 2 as well… Started and ended the year playing with partner Henry Scheck… Also played with Jorge Abreu for more than a month of the spring season… Was 3-6 with Abreu, playing eight of those nine matches in the top flight… Was 7-10 overall and 4-9 in duals with Scheck… Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team… Also earned a spot on the Academic All-Pac West Team for the second straight year… Was an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award winner as well.
As a Freshman (2022-23): Co-led the team with 20 total wins… Was second on the team with 12 singles wins, going 12-13… Went 9-10 in duals, playing in the No. 1 and 2 positions… Was 2-2 in the top flight and 7-8 in the second flight… Went 8-11 overall in doubles, including a 6-9 dual-meet mark… Went 4-5 at No. 1 and 2-4 at No. 2… Played with three different partners, going 5-3 with Tyler Landen, 3-4 with Diogo Manzano and 0-4 with Henry Scheck… Named to the Academic All-PacWest team and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
Prep: 2022 graduate of the Weil Tennis Preparatory School in Ojai, California… Coached by Julio Pulido.
Personal: Is majoring in sports management… Son of Thomas and Petra Leschig… Has three brothers— Henry, Richard and Vincent.
