As a Redshirt Senior (2024): 2024: Earned Third Team D2CCA All-America honors to cap her Maverick career… Was also named to the First Team All-South Central Region teams by both the D2CCA and the NFCA… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors… Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll… Played in all 57 games, starting 56 of them, all in center field… Hit .424 (56-132) with 19 doubles and 27 extra-base hits… Was ranked sixth in the RMAC and 19
th in the national statistics for doubles… Was ranked seventh in the RMAC for batting average… Also had two triples and six home runs… Stole six bases in as many attempts… Scored 52 runs while driving in 44… Drew 29 walks, helping her record a .533 on-base percentage, third highest in the RMAC… Struck out just 14 times… Was also tied for the third in bases on balls… Was ranked 17
th in the national statistics for her on-base percentage, the tenth best single-season mark in CMU history… Finished with 97 total bases and a .735 slugging percentage, the ninth best mark in the conference… Was ranked fifth in the RMAC with her 1.268 OPS… Recorded 16 multiple-hit games… Went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and five RBIs in a Apr. 6 win over Chadron State… Also had 13 multiple RBI games…Recorded a 13-game hitting streak… Reached safely in each of the Mavs’ final six games after recording a 25-game reached safely streak earlier in the season… Was also solid defensively… Recorded a .978 fielding percentage with just two errors in 91 total chances… Recorded 87 putouts and a pair of outfield assists.
As a Redshirt Junior (2023): Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the outfield… Played and started 50 games, all in center field… Hit. 315 going 39-for-124 at the plate… Had seven doubles, a triple and a home run… Scored 18 runs while recording the same number of RBIs… Drew 17 walks and was hit by four pitches… Had an on-base percentage of .405… Stole one base… Made just four errors while recording 104 putouts, good for a .963 fielding percentage… Named as the NFCA NCAA Division II National Player of the Week on Mar. 21 after the UCCS series, which saw her go 8-for-9 with four walks, four runs, four RBIs and her first career home run in a 4-game sweep of UCCS… Had seven multiple-hit games, recording three against in an Apr. 15 win over Regis.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2022): Made an immediate impact on the squad, hitting .324 (36-111) while making 48 starts in center field during her first season at CMU… Played in 49 total games… Had five doubles and a triple while drawing 11 walks… Scored 21 runs… Stole five bases on six attempts… Laid down three sacrifice bunts, equal to the most on the team… Was perfect on 46 defensive chances, catching 45 balls while recording one outfield assist… Had nine 2-hit games… Drove in four runs in her first game as a Maverick against San Francisco State (Feb. 4).
2020-21: Took the 2020-21 academic year off.
As a Sophomore (2020 at Eastern New Mexico): Played and started 13 games during the COVID-19 pandemic effected season at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico… The Greyhounds, coached by Kira Zeiter, went 11-8 before the cancellation… Recorded a batting average of .344… Saw her best game of the season against Western New Mexico hitting a home run and recording four RBI’s….Assisted the Greyhounds in a double-header win over West Texas A&M after taking the Hounds to a three run lead heading into the sixth….Finished the season with 32 at-bats, 11 hits, nine runs and seven RBI… Also hit a double and slugged at a .469 clip… Went 0-for-2 with a run scored in a Feb. 14 game against Colorado Mesa game in a tournament in her hometown of Tucson, Ariz… Named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2019 fall semester.
As a Freshman (2019 at Eastern New Mexico): Named Third Team All-LSC as a true freshman after finishing second on the team and tenth in the LSC with a batting average of .373... Led the team with 38 hits and 18 runs scored... Posted a team-best 13 game hit streak and recorded 12 multi-hit games throughout the season... Reached base in 13 consecutive games during a streak in which she maintained a batting average higher than .500 midway through the season... Had the series of her career against Texas Woman's in which she went 7-for-13 and totaled four runs and two RBI's for the weekend… Was named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Prep: 2018 graduate of Tucson High Magnet School… Coached by Danielle Rodriguez… Received 6A First Team All-Southern Arizona honors as a senior in 2018 after picking up second team plaudits in 2017 and honorable mention accolades in 2016… Was also named to the 2018 Arizona All-Senior All-Stars Team… Finished her prep career hitting .500.
Club: Played for the Firecrackers AZ Wedman, coached by Lisa Wedman, mother of CMU All-American Lauren Wedman… Helped the team win the USSSA Champions Cup in 2018.
Personal: Is majoring in sports management… Aspires to own an organization that host tournaments for all different sports and age groups… Daughter of Ron and Stephanie Sereno.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I felt that CMU was going to be a better fit for me than my last school. CMU also has everything I need and want in a university.”
