As a Senior (2025-26): Claimed 29 wins, mostly in the top flight… Posted a 17-10 record along with one additional walkover win in doubles alongside partner William Leschig… The duo was ranked as high as 11
th nationally, finishing the year ranked 24
th in the ITA’s NCAA Division II rankings… They went 13-8 in the top flight of duals and posted a winning 3-2 record against other nationally-ranked pairs… They also reached the quarterfinals of the ITA West Regional Championships in the fall and were ranked fifth in the region after the fall… Went 12-16 in singles play, including a 9-11 dual meet mark… Was 8-10 in the top flight and 1-1 at No. 2… Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the third straight year… Also received a third straight iTA Scholar-Athlete award.
As a Junior (2024-25): Led the team with 28 total victories, including a team-best 16 doubles triumphs… Earned Third Team All-PacWest honors in doubles alongside partner William Leschig… Went 15-10 with him, including an 11-8 dual meet mark… The duo was a strong 10-4 at No. 2 and won seven of their final ten… Also had a win with Diogo Manzano at No. 2 while going 1-4 with Leschig in that flight… Went 4-2 with Leschig in fall season tournaments while reaching the semifinals of the ITA West Regional Championships… Had a 12-15 singles record, including a 7-13 dual meet mark… Split time in the top two flights, going 3-7 at No. 1 and 4-6 at No. 2… Received a trio of academic awards… Was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the second straight year… Also received an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award for the second straight year… Was named to the Academic All-PacWest squad for the third straight season.
As a Sophomore (2023-24): Posted a 9-16 singles record and 11-15 doubles mark… Had a 7-13 singles record in duals, playing ¾ of his matches at No. 4… Went 5-10 in those… Was also 1-2 at No. 3 and 1-1 at No. 5… Went 8-14 in doubles during team duals… Played regularly in all three flights… Began the year playing with William Leschig before switching partners to Diogo Manzano early in the spring season… Was 7-10 with Leschig and and 4-5 with Scheck… Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team… Also named to the Academic All-Pac West Team for the second straight year… Also received the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award.
As a Freshman (2022-23): Led the team with an impressive 14-4 singles record in his freshman campaign… Was a dominant 12-1 in dual meets, playing in the No. 3-6 spots of the Maverick lineup… Was 4-0 at No. 5 and 5-0 at No. 6… Had a 4-9 record in doubles, including a 3-8 dual meet mark… Played with five different partners… Named to the Academic All-PacWest squad.
Prep: 2022 graduate of the Weil Tennis Preparatory School in Ojai, California… Was coached by Juanjo Climent… Won tournaments with competitive southern California players throughout the year.
Personal: Is majoring in sport management… Son of Joe and Lynn Scheck… Has two older siblings— Katy and Tori… Enjoys playing spikeball at the beach with friends.
