Noah Day is an honorary member of the Maverick swimming and diving team.
A seventh grader at Redlands Middle School in Grand Junction, Day is a Special Olympian and won three medals, including two golds, at the 2022 Colorado State games, held in Grand Junction and the Mavs’ home facility, the El Pomar Natatorium.
He is the son of CMU Sports Information staffer Chris Day and Beth Day and has been diagnosed as having partial agenesis of the corpus callosum, a rare disorder characterized by the lack of development of the fibers that divide his brain’s two hemispheres. He also been diagnosed to be autistic.
Day loves to swim and takes regular lessons with CMU National Champion Lily Borgenheimer.
In his role as an honorary team member, Day will assist the team with tasks at practice and meets and leads the team breakdowns.
He aspires to become a hotel manager and enjoys watching TV, playing Wii with his family and writing hotel reviews.
