2024-25 (As a Freshman): Named as the RMAC Freshman of the Year after impressive efforts throughout the season, especially in the championship meets… Competed in nine meet overall... Earned five CSCAA All-America honors, including a first team accolade as a member off the Mavs’ 800 Free relay team that placed eighth in 6:30.87… Also helped the Mavs place ninth in both the 200 Medley (1:26.10) and 200 Free (1:19.07) relays… The 200 Free relay time was a school-record… Claimed individual second team all-America honors in the 200 Back and 50 Free, placing 11
th and 13th, respectively… Set personal-best times of 1:45.08 (200 Back) and 19.93 (50 Free) to do so before lowering his 50 Free best to 19.86 as the lead-off leg on the 200 Free Relay team later in the meet… Ranks second in program history with the 50 Free time and ranks third in the 200 Back… Also ranks sixth in the 100 Free and seventh in the 100 Back with altitude-adjusted times of 44.42 and 48.72, respectively… Also competed in the 200 Free at the NCAA meet, placing 29
th… Was also qualified in the 100 Free, but took a declared false start… Won four RMAC titles and five total All-RMAC honors at the conference championships… Won the 50 Free in 19.98 seconds while also helping the Mavs win all three freestyle relays… Was a First Team All-RMAC performer in those four events… Also earned a second team honor thanks to a fourth place finish in the 200 Back, where he set his NCAA qualifying time of 1:45.13 (altitude-adjusted)… Also scored seventh place finishes in the 200 Free and 100 Back to finish with 59 team points in his four individual events plus another 30 when accounting for his relay points as CMU won a seventh straight team title… Set his personal-best 100 Back time at the RMAC meet… Set his NCAA qualifying times in the 50 free (19.98), 100 Free (44.42) and 200 Free (1:37.87) at the TYR/CMU Invitational… Helped the Mavs set a El Pomar Natatorium Record of 1:19.09 in the 200 Free Relay at that meet... Claimed other event wins in the 200 Free against Denver and in the 200 Back against Air Force/BYU… Named as the RMAC Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 29 after the Air Force/BYU meet... Was ranked amongst the RMAC’s top ten in seven different events, including five championship events... Was also a CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American.
Prep: Graduated from Wirtemberg Gymnasium… Coached by Nikolai Schmidt… Won the 50 and 200-meter backstroke events at the 2022 German Short Course Championships… Also took second in the 100 Back… Competed at the 2024 Luxembourg Euro Meet while representing Schwimmverein Cannstatt 1898, setting new personal best LCM freestyle times of 24.23 (50 Free), 53.03 (100 Free) and 1:57.70 (200)… Won the 100 Back at the Berlin Swim Open with a LCM personal best of 58.06… Also finished fourth in the 200 Back (2:07.70) and eighth in the 50 Back (26.54) with other personal best times.
Personal: Is majoring in marketing and business… Son of Hendrik and Irina… Has two older siblings— Nicolas and Emma.
