2023-24 (Redshirt Junior):
Qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third straight year… Placed 19th in the 1650 Free (15:42.09), 28th in the 1000 Free (9:25.36) and 35th in the 500 Free (4:33.25)… Set four season-best times, including three NCAA “B” cut times and two personal-bests during the RMAC Championships to qualify for nationals… Earned a Second Team All-RMAC certificate with a fourth place finish in the 1000 Free… Posted a career-best altitude-adjusted time of 9:14.00 to do so… Ranks third in CMU history with that time… Also set converted season-best NCAA qualifying times of 4:30.64 (500) and 15:35.00 (1650) during the RMAC Championships… Took fifth in the 1650 and seventh in the 500 while accumulating 41 total team points… Also had a personal-best 200 Free time of 1:41.03 (converted) to take 17th in that event… Selected to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team after earning Academic All-District honors… Was also voted on to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the third straight year… Was named as a First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American for the third straight year as well… Competed in ten meets.

2022-23 (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in all 11 swim meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Earned a pair of All-RMAC honors, claiming first team honors and a silver medal in the 1,000 free with a season-best time of 9:29.05 (9:17.65 altitude-adjusted)… Finished fourth in the 1650 free and claimed seventh in the 500 free to rack up 44 team points… Competed in all three of those disciplines at the NCAA Championships, finishing 25th in the 1650 free, 28th in 1000 free and 34th in the 500 free… Had altitude-adjusted season bests of 4:30.56 (500 free) and 15:38.28 (1650 free) at the TYR CMU Invitational… Had a season-best of 1:42.46 (200 free) during the RMAC Championships… Named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team and as a CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American.

2021-22 (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in nine meets, including both the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Was a first-time national qualifier after a set of strong performances as the RMAC Championships… Set then altitude-adjusted personal bests in all four of his events at the conference meet… Claimed a pair of First Team All-RMAC honors after taking second in both the 1000 and 1650 free… Also earned another second team all-conference honor thanks to a fourth place finish in the 500… Finished 12th in the 200 free… Set NCAA qualifying season-best times of 4:29.15 (500), 9:15.00 (1000) and 15:34.62 (1650) at the RMAC meet while accounting for 52 team points in his four individual events… Ranks fifth in CMU history for the 1650 … Ended up 21st in the 1650, 24th in the 1000 and 29th in the 500 at the NCAA Championships… Had also won both the 1000 and 1650 free at the A3 Performance Invitational while taking second in the 500 free… Was named to the First Team CSCAA Scholar All-America team and to the RMAC All-Academic First Team.

2020-21 (Freshman): Had a strong RMAC Championship meet in his competitive action of the season… Won RMAC titles and First Team All-RMAC honors in both the 1000 and 1650 free while placing third in the 500 free to earn a second team plaudit in that event… Also scored in the 200 free, placing seventh… Accounted for 63 total team points, fifth most in the entire meet, while setting personal bests in all four of his events… Won the 1000 free in his first collegiate swim with a then personal-best time of 9:39.67, which with the altitude adjustment converts to a NCAA “B” Cut time of 9:28.27… Out-touched teammate Logan Ellis, the 2019 RMAC Champion and 2020 runner-up by less than a half-second… Also set a “B” cut time of 15:57.27 (converted) in the 1650 free to rank ninth in Maverick history… Led the RMAC season-long performance lists in both events… Posted a converted time of 4:36.44 in the 500 free prelims before swimming the finals just a tenth of a second slower… Finished tenth in the 200 free with a time of 1:42.13 (converted)… Received Honorable Mention CSCAA Scholar All-America honors.

Prep: 2020 graduate of Sycamore High School in Sycamore, Illinois… Swam for nearby DeKalb High School… Coached by Mel Chambers… Was a 2-time team Swimmer of the Year and team MVP… Qualified for the state championships as a sophomore, junior and senior… Was a 4-time all-conference and 2-time academic all-conference selection… Graduated as the team record holder in both the 200 and 500 freestyle events… Was a 10-time conference champion.
 
Personal: Is majoring in accounting… Aspires to work for a large corporation and become a partner at a firm… Son of Sharon and Michael Anderson… Sister Camryn was a swimmer at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois… Enjoys hiking, biking, hanging out with friends, reading and meeting new people.
