As a Redshirt Junior (2022-23): Competed in all 11 of the team’s swimming meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Championships… Earned a Second Team CSCAA All-America honor as a relay only swimmer in the 200 free relay, helping the Mavs to a 14
th place finish… Earned a pair of First Team All-RMAC honors helping the Mavs to second place finishes in the 200 and 400 free relays at the RMAC Championships… Also reached the championship final in three of his four individual events at the conference meet, while qualifying for the consolation final in the other… Took fifth in both the 50 and 100 free while placing eighth in the 100 fly… Took 12
th in the 100 back after setting a personal best of 50.17 (altitude-adjusted) in the preliminary round… Set NCAA “B” cut and season-best times of 20.48 (50) and 44.75 (100) in the sprint freestyle events… Ranks tenth in CMU history with that 50 free time… Finished second in both of those events at the TYR CMU Invitational… Received CSCAA First Team Scholar All-America honors… Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2021-22): Competed in eight meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Earned a pair of Second Team CSCAA All-America honors as a relay swimmer on the Mavs’ 200 and 400 free relay teams at the national meets… Helped the Mavs finish 13
th in the 200 free relay and 15
th in the 400 free relay… Helped set school records in both of those relays earlier in the season… Won the RMAC title in the 400 free relay with an altitude-adjusted and school-record time of 2:57.22 after anchoring the Mavs to a 200 free relay and school-record time of 1:20.05 at the A3 Performance Invitational… Scored in all four of his individual and seven total events at the RMAC Championships, accounting for 34 individual and 53 total points, when including his share of the relay points… Finished fifth in the 100 free after posting a NCAA “B” Cut and personal-best time of 44.59 (altitude-adjusted)… Ranks third in program history with that time… Was ninth in the 50 free, tenth in the 100 fly and 13
th in the 100 back… Se a PB of 50.22 in the 100 fly… Also helped the Mavs when the “B” sections of the 200 medley and 200 free relays… Set a NCAA “B” cut time of 20.54 in the 50 free at the A3 Invite… Advanced to the finals in all four of his individual events at that mid-season test… Had nine top-5 finishes throughout the dual meet portion of the campaign… Was named as a First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American for his work in the classroom.
As a Sophomore (2020-21): Competed in five meets, including the RMAC Championships and all four of the dual-meet format affairs… Won three conference titles on Maverick relay teams, all of which set NCAA Championship qualifying times, while earning four total All-RMAC honors, including the three relay first team plaudits… Scored in all seven of his events at the conference meet, competing in the championship final in five of them and in the consolation final in the other two… Accounted for 37 individual and 67 total team points… Swam the anchor freestyle leg on CMU’s 200 medley relay team and the third leg on both the 200 and 400 free relay teams… Helped set former school-record times of 1:20.27 and 2:58.24 (altitude-adjusted) in the free relays… Set a NCAA “B” cut times of 20.69 and 45.19 (altitude-adjusted) in the 50 and 100 free prelims, respectively… Both were season-best times.. Finished fourth in the 100 free finals to earn Second Team All-RMAC honors… Finished seventh in the 50 free finals… Also reached the consolation finals in both the 100 back and 100 fly, finishing 10
th and 14th, respectively… Had season-best times of 50.94 (100 back) and 50.86 (100 fly) in the prelims… Recorded five top-5 finishes in the dual meets.
As a Freshman (2019-20): Competed in nine meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Was named as RMAC Co-Freshman of the Year… Earned five All-RMAC certificates, including three first team honors on relays and a pair of second team plaudits in his individual events for his performances at the conference meet… Anchored the Mavs to the 200 medley relay title… Also swam legs on the runner-up 200 and 400 free relay teams… Advanced to the championship final in three of his four individual events… Placed third in the 100 free (45.69) after posting a NCAA “B” cut and season-best time of 45.27 (altitude-adjusted) in the preliminaries… Also placed fourth in the 50 free with a “B” cut time of 20.67... Finished seventh in the 100 back and 11
th in the 100 fly… Scored 49 team points in his four individual events… Would go on to be selected as a relay swimmer for the national championships, which were cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak… Helped the Mavs finish 14
th in the 200 medley relay finals on the first day of meet… Also swam in the 200 free and 400 medley relay prelims on the second morning of the meet, which would end up being the last session of the championships… Anchored the Mavs to a ninth place standing in the 400 medley relay and an 18
th place finish in the 200 free relay… Would later be named as a CSCAA Honorable Mention All-American in both the 200 and 400 medley relays… Had other-season bests of 51.20 (100 fly) and 51.68 (100 back)... Was selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team.
Prep: Placed third in both the 50 and 100 free at the 2018 6A Region 1 Championships while swimming for the Keller HS Indians... Earned eight total medalist honors in his career... Was a finalist at the Texas 6A State Championships as both a junior (2017) and senior (2018)... Was an all-America consideration performer and school-record holder... Earned TISCA, all-state, all-region and all-district honors in both years.
Club: Swam for three year sin the national team program under coach Jason Walter and Lakeside Aquatic Club... Was a 2017 and 2018 Speedo Southern Sectional Championship Finalist and Medalist... Was a 2018 Futures Championship Series Finalist and Medalist.
Personal: Is majoring in international business... Aspires to become a business manager... Son of Christine and Frederico d'Orsi... Brother is Fabrizio... Enjoys playing sports, hanging out with friend and going to play with electric powered cars... Also enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking and camping.
