2024-25 (Redshirt Sophomore): Swam in four meets… Set a personal-best altitude-adjusted times of 49.86 in the 100 Fly at the TYR/CMU Invitational… Also had a season-best mark of 1:50.80 in the 200 Fly at that meet… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll while helping the Mavs win the RMAC Brechler Award.
2023-24 (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in six meets… Was an exhibition swimmer at the RMAC Championships… Set personal-best altitude-adjusted times of 46.73 (100 Free) and 50.18 (100 Fly) at that meet… Had set personal bests of 1:42.03 (200 Free) and 1:50.25 (200 Fly) at the TYR/CMU Invitational… Also posted distance freestyle times of 4:41.56 (500) and 9:35.84 (1000) at that meet… Was ranked eighth on the RMAC season long performance list in the 200 Fly… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23 (Freshman): Joined the program in January at the semester break... Redshirt season.
Before CMU: Split time between homes in St. Petersburg, Florida and East London, South Africa...
Prep: Fall 2022 graduate of the Abeka Academy in Florida…. Swam for Saint Petersburg High School… Finished fifth in the 100 fly and eighth in the 200 free at the 2022 Florida High School 3A State Championships in November… Set SCY personal best times of 50.43 and 1:43.22 to do so… Was a 2021 state qualifier in the 200 and 500 free.
International: Won both the 800 and 1500-meter freestyle while taking second in the 200 and 400 free at the 2021 South African National Championships, representing Eastern Cape Aquatics… Was ranked first in South Africa for the 400, 800 and 1,500-meter freestyle… Was a FINA Junior World Championship qualifier… Ranked in the top ten national for the 17-year old age group in the United States… Finished eighth in the 800-meter free, ninth in the 1500 free and 13
th in the 400 free at the 2022 South African Short Course Championships in August after placing 12
th in the 800 free (LCM) at the South African National Championships in April.
Personal: Is majoring in construction management… Aspires to be an entrepreneur and own a construction and property development company in Florida… Son of Tracy and Luke Dutton… Has a younger brother— Ethan… Enjoys surfing, mountain biking, skiing, wakeboarding, fishing and kite-surfing.
