2024-25 (As a Freshman): Swam in seven meets, including all six of CMU’s home meets while also qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championships… Secured his trip to Indianapolis with a personal-best 200 Breast time of 1:58.29 (altitude-adjusted) at the CMU Last Chance Meet… Had also set an NCAA “B” cut and personal-best time of 54.45 (converted) in the 100 Breast as an exhibition swimmer at the RMAC Championships… Ended up finishing 24
th in the 200 Breast (2:09.03) and 28
th in the 100 Breast (56.00) at the national meet… Ranks fifth in CMU history in the 200 Breast and sixth in the 100 Breast… Was fifth on the RMAC’s list of top performers in the 200 and sixth in the 100… Had other personal-best times of 52.24 (100 Fly) and 1:53.08 (200 IM) at the TYR CMU Invitational… Placed third in the 100 Breast at that meet.
Prep: Graduated from Anderson CVI in 2023… Was an honor roll selection from Grade 9-12.
Club: Swam for the Ajax Swim Club… Won the 100 Breast at the Speedo Canadian Championships in June, 2024… Set a personal-best LCM time of 1:03.12 to do so… Also placed third in the 50 Breast with a personal-best of 28.94 seconds while finishing fifth in the 200 Breast (2:19.96)… Was second in the 100 Breast and fourth in the 200 at the Ontario Summer Championships… Also took fourth in the 50 Breast at the 2023 Speedo Canadian Championships… Took eighth in the 200 at the 2022 Canadian Junior & Senior Championships.
Personal: Is majoring in ecology, evolution and biology… Has an interest in film creation and video editing as well as biology so a dream of his has always been to run my own wildlife documentary style T.V or movie program… Son of Susanne and Paul… Is a massive music fan and a multi-instrumentalist, whit his main being a guitar… Would like to join a band… Has recently been restoring and making his own guitars… Also loves to SCUBA dive and surf when he has the opportunity… Says all water sports are appealing to him.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU to become part of the best swim team in the NCAA Division II. The welcoming atmosphere of the athletes and faculty and manageable campus size immediately drew me in. The coaching staff recognized my goals and potential as a swimmer and were excited to coach me. It also happens to be in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.”
