2023-24 (Redshirt Junior): Swam in four meets while also serving on the NCAA Division II National SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee)… Competed at the RMAC Championships as an exhibition swimmer… Posted a personal-best 1650 Free time of 16:11.19 (altitude-adjusted) in his final collegiate swim… Also had season-best converted times of 4:35.92 (500 Free) and 9:32.40 (1000 Free) at the conference meet… Set a personal-best 100 Free time of 47.47 (converted) and a season-best 200 Free mark (converted)of 1:41.15 during the TYR/CMU Invitational… Named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team.

2022-23 (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in nine meets, including the RMAC Championships… Was an exhibition swimmer at the conference meet… Set season-best altitude-adjusted times of 1:40.79 (200 Free) and 16:12.80 (1650 Free) at the conference meet… Posted NCAA Championship provisional qualifying and personal-best times of 4:34.43 and 9:28.78 in the 500 and 1000 free, respectively, at the TYR CMU Invitational… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2021-22 (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in seven meets, including the RMAC Championships as an exhibition swimmer… Set three personal bests during the conference meet, posting a NCAA “B” cut time of 1:40.15 (altitude-adjusted) in the 200 free… Also had times of 4:36.05 (500 free) and 9:34.66 (1000 free)… Had a season-best of 16:14.08 in the 1650 free at the A3 Performance Invitationals to finish fourth as one of four top-6 finishes… Was named as Second Team CSCAA Scholar All-American and to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2020-21 (Freshman): Competed in two dual meets during the pandemic abbreviated season… Swam at BYU on Jan. 22 and at Utah a day later… Set season-best altitude-adjusted times of 4:54.78 (500 free) and 10:15.19 (1000 free), finishing fifth in both at BYU… Also had a 200 free time of 1:47.24 as the lead-off leg on an 800 free relay team.

Prep: Was a 2-time all-state (2019-2020) and 4-time all-conference performer for the Bentonville High School Tigers… Coached by Mark Gole... Served as team captain as a senior in 2020.

Club: Swam for Northwest Arkansas Aquatics.
 
Personal: Is majoring in exercise science with a focus in pre-med... Has started to apply to doctor of osteopathic school... Says the intent is to become a doctor that helps people see what they are truly capable of.  "Whether working with athletes or those with disabilities I have a true passion helping others. I hope to bring the traditions and values from CMU into my practice one day."... Son of Anthony and Tamara Mondello… Has one sibling (Alex)… Plans to apply for medical school shortly after graduation and aspiring to work with athletes from around the country... Enjoys going to the lake on the weekends to wake surf and wakeboard... Also enjoys going to the many nearby national parks around CMU.
