2023-24 (As a Freshman): Competed in eight meets, including the RMAC Championships… Set personal-best, NCAA “B” cut and altitude-adjusted times of 1:39.42 (200 Free) and 4:29.72 (500 Free) as an exhibition swimmer… Set another personal best time of 9:44.65 (converted) in the 1000 Free at the CMU Last Chance Meet… Had a 100 Free personal best of 46.36 (converted) at the TYR/CMU Invitational as a 400 Free Relay leadoff… Also had a personal-best 400 IM time of 4:05.33 (converted) and a season-best 100 Fly time of 56.37 (converted) during the TYR competition.
Prep: 2023 graduate of Shorewood High School… Won the 2023 200 IM Wisconsin Division 2 state title as a senior with the Greyhounds, coached by Cassie Rodriguez… Also took second in the 100 free… Had finished second in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 free at the 2022 championships as a junior… Was third in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 fly as a sophomore in 2021 and furth in the 200 free as a freshman.
Club: Finished seventh in the 100-meter freestyle at the Wisconsin Long Course Championships in the summer of 2023… Had also qualified for the YMCA National Short Course Championships.
Personal: Is majoring in biology… Son of Ann Swartz and Scott Strath… Enjoys camping, archery and kayaking.
