2021-22: Was a mid-year addition to the program out of Giza, Egypt... Redshirt season.
Before CMU: Graduated from the Smartvilage School in 2021… Swam for the Al Ahly Sporting Club… Set LCM bests of 53.44 (100 free) and 8:23.43 (800 Free) at the Cairo Summer Swimming Championships (Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2021)… Had placed third in 800 Free and fourth in the 400 Free at the Egyptian National Championships in April, 2021… Also finished sixth in the 1500 free at that meet after posting a 200 Free personal-best of 1:54.56… Represented his country at the 2019 Africa Junior Championships in Tunisia, where he set personal-bests of 4:02.99 (400 Free) and 16:01.81 (1500 Free)… Placed third at the 2021 version of the meet in the 800 free.
Personal: Is majoring in business… Full name is Ahmed Sameh Abdelsalam… Father’s name is Sameh and aspires to help him with his company… Has one sibling— Moshtaha… Enjoys listening to music as well as watching anime and basketball…. Chose CMU because of the great and friendly coaches, the great sports programs and the variety of majors.
