Biography

2022 (As a Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in 12 games, while making a pair of starts at the catcher position in her first year as a Mav… Went 2-for-17 (.118) at the plate… Also drew two walks… Scored four runs, two of which came in a Mar. 13 start against Fort Lewis… Doubled in that game after recording her first hit as a Mav in the first game of that day’s doubleheader… Was perfect in 20 total defensive chances.

Before CMU:  Hit 12 home runs while hitting .364 and driving in 37 runs during the 2021 season at Salt Lake Community College… Started 32 games for the Bears, who went 52-4 while winning the NJCAA Region 18 Championship and advancing to the national championships… Had hit .296 with four home runs and 18 RBIs in 20 games during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.

Prep: 2019 graduate of Carbon High School.

Club: Won three Utah state championships while playing for the Tom Montanez coached  Mountain West/Batbusters.

Personal: Is majoring in nursing… Wants to become a nurse anesthetist after earning a master’s degree… Daughter of Kelsey Cripps and Jamie Branch… Has a younger brother— Cole… Enjoys hunting, fishing and camping.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because they have a softball program that wants to win as bad as I do, along with an amazing nursing program.”
