As a Junior (2010): Team played in the NCAA Central Region Tournament…Made 5 appearances with 6 innings pitched…Made Mesa State debut on (2/28/10) against Metro State where he threw one inning and struck out 2.

As a Sophomore (2009): Team played in NCAA Division II World Series...NCAA Central Region Champions...RMAC Champions. 
As a Redshirt Freshman (2008): Team won RMAC Championship

As a Freshman (2007): Redshirt

At Grand Junction High School: State Champions as a Junior…Conference Player of the Year…All-State Selection…Played in Colorado Top 50 Game.

Personal: Son of Ron and Doneen Sawyer…Sister Morgan played Tennis for the Mavericks…Chose MSC for its location, Coaching Staff, and Baseball Tradition…Enjoys fishing, video games and other sports.
