2024-25 Tryout Registration

You are trying out to represent Colorado Mesa University. CMU Cheerleading is a collegiate level cheerleading team that is Nationally ranked. Trying out for this team means you are committing to a season that includes games, performances, and competition. We are a co-ed team and are always looking to take on men and women that want to further their cheer career.  
 
The following paperwork is required for tryouts: 

• 2 letters of recommendation to attest to your character, dependability, and work ethic. 
• A copy of your acceptance letter to CMU 
• Unofficial transcript (must have at least a 2.0 to tryout) 
• Headshot 

Cheerleading requirements

• Good character, good recommendations, good rapport with other tryout candidates & coaches. 
• Suitable GPA of a 2.0 or higher from prior semester. 
• Collegiate presence with clean sharp motions, along with strong foundational stunts and tumbling. 
• Dynamic sideline cheer skills with collegiate styled rallying, and perfected fight song. 
• High level of physical fitness and flexibility. 
• Top Girls may be asked to show skills in Coed and All-Girl stunting.
