2020 (Junior): Recorded .358 batting and .500 on-base percentages during the COVID-19 shortened season... Had been named to the NFCA Player of the Year Preseason Watch List for third straight year... Named as the Feb. 26 NFCA/Louisville Slugger NCAA Division II National Player of the Week after hitting four home runs while driving in 11 runs in a 4-game sweep of CSU-Pueblo... Also earned RMAC Player of the Week honors for those efforts... Went 24-for-67 at the plate throughout the campaign... Scored 19 runs and led the team with 27 RBIs, fourth most in the conference... Led the conference with seven home runs... Was tied for the conference lead in bases on balls (17)... Finished with a .761 slugging percentage to rank seventh in the RMAC... Also had four doubles and a triple... Started all 22 of CMU's games at first base... Was perfect in 169 total defensive chances to lead all RMAC players in fielding percentage... Eclipsed the 200-hit and 200-RBI career milestones early in the season, becoming just the third Maverick to ever reach both totals... Had been named as a Sportswoman of Colorado Award Winner for her 2019 season efforts early in 2020.
2019 (Junior): Earned First Team All-America and All-South Central Region honors from both the NFCA and D2CCA... Was named as the RMAC Player of the Year and to the First Team All-RMAC squad... Was the only RMAC player to be a NFCA Division II Player of the Year finalist after beginning the year on the "Watch List"... Led the RMAC in batting average (.458), on-base percentage (.587), walks (45) and RBIs (68)... Also finished second in slugging percentage (.817) and total bases (125), third in runs scored (57), and fourth in home runs... Was ranked fifth in Division II for both on-base percentage and total RBIs... Was sixth for walks per game (0.80), ninth for RBIs per game (1.21), 16th for slugging percentage and 17th for batting average... Earned NFCA National and RMAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .800 (12-15) while slugging 1.467 with 17 RBIs in a series sweep of Fort Lewis... Had four doubles, two home runs and two walks in that series posting an .824 on-base percentage... Started all 56 games at first base, hitting in the No. 3 spot in 53 of them... Reached safely in 38 straight games recording a 15-game hitting streak... Led the team with 19 multiple-hit games, recording four hits twice... Had 70 total hits to lead the team... Received 51 free passes and struck out just 13 times in 153 official at bats... Mad just two errors defensively recording 277 putouts and six assists, good for a stellar .993 fielding percentage... Was a Preseason All-RMAC selection... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll pick... Named as CMU's department-wide Female Athlete of the Year as part of the SAAC Rumble Awards.
2018 (Sophomore): Earned Third Team All-America honors from both the NFCA and D2CCA... Was a First Team All-South Central Region selection by the D2CCCA... Was a Second Team pick by the NFCA... Recognized as a First Team All-RMAC performer... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll... Hit .394 (63-160) at the plate... Started all 53 games at first base... Was also stellar defensively, committing just two errors in 243 total chances, finishing with a .992 fielding percentage... Finished second in the RMAC with 67 RBIs and tied for second with 21 doubles... Was second in the RMAC with 32 walks and fourth for total bases with 122... Tied for fifth in the RMAC with 12 home runs... Finished with .762 slugging and .485 on-base percentages... Had 19 multiple-hit games and 18 multiple-RBI efforts... Hit four home runs at the Dixie State Easton Classic to earn Fastpitch News NCAA Division II Player of the Week honors... Hit two against Northwest Nazarene (Feb. 9)... Drove in six runs in a Mar. 10 game at New Mexico Highlands... Had started the year on the Preseason All-RMAC team and on the NFCA Preseason Player of the Year Watchlist.
2017 (Freshman):Â NFCAÂ Third-Team All-American... RMAC Co-Freshman of the Year... All-RMAC Second Team.. .D2CCAÂ South Central First-Team... Finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year...Played in 53 games, starting 52...Ranked second on the team with a .412 batting average...Led the team with 21 doubles and second with nine home runs...Ranked second on the team with a .736 slugging percentage, second with 109 total bases and second with 210 put outs...Recorded 20 multi-hit games...Scored a season-high four runs at Fort Lewis...Drove in a season-high five runs twice.
Prep: Was a 4-time all-conference and 3-time all-state player for the Marty Strickeltt coached Wheat Ridge HS Farmers... Also earned honorable mention academic all-state honors.
Club: Played for the Colorado Styxx and Coach Pablo Severtson.
Personal: Is majoring in accounting... Daughter of Robert and Lori Torres... Enjoys playing sports, hanging out with friends and family, being outside and hiking.
Why I Chose CMU: "I chose CMU to play softball here but also because I loved the campus, scenery and community that I felt when I first visited."
