2018 (Junior): Earned First Team D2CCCA All-South Central Region Honors… Was a Second Team All-RMAC pick… Posted a 22-3 record and 2.25 ERA… Was second in the RMAC for both wins and ERA… Held opponents to a .213 batting average, the best mark of any RMAC pitcher… Had 168 strikeouts in 130 2/3 innings… Was third in the RMAC for total strikeouts and led the conference in average per seven innings (9.0)… Ranked seventh nationally in that category… Also led the RMAC in runs allowed (48), earned runs allowed (42) and walks allowed (27)… Finished seventh nationally with her 6.22 strikeout-to-walk ratio… Was guilty of just two wild pitches… Was fifth in the RMAC for hits allowed (105)… Made 30 total appearances, starting 23 games… Had 14 complete games and seven shutouts… Also had another combined shutout… Named RMAC Tournament MVP after going 4-0 with 28 strikeouts in 21 innings… Had a career-high 13 strikeouts while tossing a no-hitter in the opening round win over Chadron State (May 3)… Had four other double-figure strikeout efforts, including two against Adams State (Mar. 2 & 3) helping her earn RMAC Pitcher of the Week honors on Mar. 6.… Won her first 15 and 22 of her first 22 decisions.
2017 (Sophomore): Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection... Made 21 appearances, starting 18... Finished with a 15-1 record and a 2.25 ERA...Threw eight complete games and four shutouts... Struck out 81 batters in 93 1/3 innings... Struck out a season-high seven batters in win at Colorado Christian.
2016 (at Snow): Earned Scenic West Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year honors as a freshman at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah... Was the league's pitcher of the year multiple times... Led the conference in wins with a 15-6 record and 125 strikeouts, 40 more than in any other pitcher... Also led the conference with 15 complete games and five shutouts... Tossed two no-hitters and held opponents to three or fewer hits in seven complete games... Had 10 or more strikeouts four times.
Prep: Was Utah's Ms. Softball in 2015 as a senior with the Stansbury High School Stallions, coached by Bridget Clinton.. Earned first team all-state honors in 2013, 2014 and 2015 winning 3A state titles in each... Named as the Stansbury Pitcher of the Year three times (2013-15)... Other senior season accolades included Governors State of Sport Nominee, Stansbury Player of the Year, Golden Letter Athlete, Gatorade Player Nominee and Three-Pillar Candidate.
Club: Played for TC Thunder and Coach Travis Sutherland.
Personal: Is majoring in chemistry... Plans to go to medical school or become a field scientist... Daughter of John and Kami Herring... Has three siblings (Logan, Josh and Jack)... Enjoys horse training, camping, hiking, swimming and listening to music.
