Biography

As a Junior: Letterwinner…Placed 11th in the 3000 meter run at the Joe Davies Invitational…Finished 7th in the 5000 meter run at the Air Force Invitational…Recorded a 22nd place finish at the Colorado School of Mines All-Comers in the 1 mile run…Placed 13th overall in the 1 mile run at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships…Ran cross country this fall (2008).
As a Sophomore: 
Letterwinner in track and cross country…Finished 21st at the RMAC Championships…31st at Regionals…8th at the Mountaineer Open…6th at the Colorado College Invite…4th at the Tom Strandt Memorial Run.

As a Freshman:  Competed on the track and field team as a distance runner.

At North High School:  Played four sports at North High School; swimming, soccer, cross country, and track…MVP butterfly and Captain in swimming…MVP Midfielder and Captain in soccer…Voted most team spirit in cross country…Voted most improved in track…Three-year letter winner in both swimming and soccer…letter winner in cross country and track…Voted Outstanding female athlete of North high school…2004 Athlete of the Year…Honor Roll all four years…Perfect Attendance 2000-2004.

Personal:  Chose MSC because of its cross country team…Daughter of Martin Martinez and Elena Ramos…Athletic goal is to run in the 17 minute range by the end of the season…Speaks Spanish…Enjoys swimming…Career goal is to work for Dr. Jeff Young as an accountant.
