2023 Outdoor (Sophomore): Pole vaulted in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fourth place finish at the conference meet… Cleared 4.53 meters (14-10.25) to do so… Had a season-best mark of 4.60 meters (15-1) to finish second at the Kit Mayer Classic… Ranks fourth in CMU outdoor history with that mark… Was sixth on the RMAC season-long performance list with it as well… Was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® squad based on a combination of his indoor and outdoor accomplishments as well as his work in the classroom… Also named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2022-23 Indoor (Sophomore): Pole vaulted in six meets, including the RMAC Championships… Placed fourth at the conference meet with a season-best clearance of 4.50 meters (14-9)… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors… Had three top-3 finishes and five top-4 finishes throughout the season…. Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2022 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in each of the team’s first four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Cleared a season-high 4.45 meters (14-7.25) at the Maverick Invite to rank fourth in program history… Went on to clear 4.40 meters (14-5.25) at the RMAC Championships to place eighth and score a team point.

2021-22 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in five meets, posting a season-best pole vault clearance of 4.62 meters (15-1.75) in the season-opening Mel Tjeerdsma Classic… Is tied for third in program history with that mark… Was qualified for the RMAC Championships but did not compete at that meet.

Prep: Won the 2021 4A state title with a meet record and personal-best clearance of 16-0 as a senior with the Thompson Valley HS Eagles… That c
completed a perfect 8-for-8 undefeated senior season… Coached by Ryan Williams… Also won the USATF Colorado U-20 Championship in the summer of 2021.

Personal: Is majoring in applied science… Son of Darcie and Kevin Ell… Wants to become an electrical lineman… Likes to rock climb, mountain bike, hang out with friends and be outside.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I loved the area and campus and it had what I was looking for on the track team.”
