2024 Outdoor (Redshirt Senior): Ran in six meets, including the RMAC Championships and two last chance meets while capping his career as the top sprinter in Maverick history to date… Led the RMAC’s season long performance lists in both the 100 and 200 meters with altitude-adjusted times of 10.40 and 20.76… Qualified for the RMAC finals in both events… Helped the Mavs garner Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 4x400-meter relay with a second place time of 40.37 seconds but was injured in the process… Was able to hobble through both the 100 and 200 meter finals later in the day to claim eight place team points… Returned from injury to compete in two last chance meets, his final runs of his collegiate career, in efforts of reaching the NCAA Championships, which fell just short as he finished 40th (100) and 47th (200) on the national performance lists with his aforementioned times… Had won the 100 at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing with his wind-aided time of 10.37, the fastest all-conditions time in program history… Also helped the Mavs set a school-record 4x100 relay time of 40.33 seconds at that meet… Also had a season-best (wind-legal) time of 20.99 in the 200 at that meet… Won the 200 with a time 20.69 (+4.3) at the Maverick Invite #2… That is the fastest all-conditions time in CMU history but was not legal for record-setting nor NCAA qualification purposes.

2023-24 Indoor (Redshirt Senior): Ran in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned a pair of medals and First Team All-RMAC certificates at the conference meet… Took second in the 200 meters (21.62) and third in the 60 (6.78)... Matched his own school-record with a season-best 60 time of 6.72 seconds to win at the Mountaineer Open… Was ranked third on the RMAC’s season long performance list with the altitude-adjusted mark of 6.76 seconds… Also finished 23rd (tie) on the national performance list narrowly missing out on a spot in the national meet… Was also a provisional qualifier in the 200 meters with a track-size and altitude-adjusted time of 21.31 from the RMAC Championships, which also ranked him third on the RMAC performance list… That mark also allowed him to earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors as the fifth fastest man in the South Central Region… Had an actual season-best time of 21.39 from the New Mexico Team Open… Helped the Mavs set a school record of 3:14.83 in the 4x400-meter relay in Albuquerque as well.

2023 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Ran in six meets, including the RMAC Championships and two last-chance meets… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors in the 100 meters, taking third in 10.68 seconds after running to a time of 10.51 seconds in the prelims… Won two medals and accounted 10 team points after placing second in the 4x100-meter relay to earn Second Team All-RMAC honors and seventh in the 200… Anchored the relay team to a time of 40.57 seconds, third fastest in program-history… Had helped the Mavs set a school-record time of 40.35 to open the season at the CSU Pueblo Open… Also won the 200 at that meet in 21.08 seconds... Was a NCAA Championship provisional qualifier in all three events… Ranked third on the RMAC list in the 200 with a time of 20.96 at the Loper Twilight, a last chance meet… Was ranked fourth in the conference in the 100 with an altitude-adjusted time of 10.51 from the Maverick Invite… Won both the 100 and 200 at that meet, posting a season-best time of 10.48 in the 100 while running to a time of 21.44 in the half-lapper… Was ranked second in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 40.43 at the Concordia Twilight, the second-fastest time in CMU history... The Mavs were ranked 29th nationally with that time... He was tied for 26th in the 200 and 75th nationally in the 100.

2022-23 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Started his season late, before competing in just four meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Championships… Earned Second Team USTFCCCA All-America honors in the 200 meters after placing 11th at the national meet with a season-best time of 21.50 seconds… Did win all five of his races prior to the national meet… Won the 200 meters at the Minnesota State Massive Meet #1 with a time of 21.93 seconds… Won the 60 in 6.79 seconds on the next day at the Minnesota State Massive Meet #2… Won his preliminary round heats in both disciplines at the RMAC Championships but was unable to try to defend his RMAC titles in the finals as a precaution for his national championship aspirations… Had a 200-meter time of 21.56 as the top qualifier and was ranked second on the RMAC season-long performance list with his converted mark of 21.30… Broke the CMU record in the 60 meters with a time of 6.72 to win his heat and qualify second overall for the finals… Was ranked second in the RMAC with the altitude-adjusted time of 6.76… Was ranked 17th on the national performers list in the 200 and tied for 21st in the 60, narrowly missing out upon NCAA Championship qualification in the latter… Entered the NCAA meet as the No. 15 seed in the 200... Had eight top-3 finishes throughout the season.

2022 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in all seven of CMU’s meets, including the NCAA Division II and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships… Set school-records in three events (100, 200, 4x100 Relay) throughout the campaign… Earned a pair of All-RMAC honors… Claimed first team honors in the 100 meters, thanks to a third place finish with a wind-aided time of 10.53… Was a second-team pick in the 4x100-meter relay… Had set the 100-meter school-record of 10.48 at the Colorado Invitational… Was ranked third on the RMAC’s season-long performance list with that mark, which converted to 10.51 with the altitude-adjustment… Was ranked 57th (tie) on the national performance list… Qualified for the national meet with his 200-meter school-record time of 20.88 seconds (20.95-converted) a the Maverick Invite… Was ranked second in the RMAC and 16th nationally with that time… Placed 13th at the national meet with a wind-aided time of 21.01 seconds… Had qualified for the RMAC final in the 200 thanks to a fifth place performance in the prelims but did not start the final… Anchored the Mavs to a former school-record time of 40.69 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay at the RMAC Championships… That time now ranks fourth in CMU history... Claimed five event wins, five runner-up finishes and 12 top-3 efforts throughout the campaign.

2021-22 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Had a breakout season, highlighted by two RMAC titles and two USTFCCCA All-America honors… Competed in six meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II Championships… Won the RMAC titles and First Team All-RMAC honors in both the 60 and 200-meter dashes… Was named as the RMAC Championship Athlete of the Meet as the only individual double-event winner… Went on to place third in the 200 meters at the NCAA Division II Championships, garnering First Team All-America honors… Was a second team selection in the 60 meters, after placing 11th… Broke his own school-record in the 200 at the national championships with a time of 21.33 seconds in the preliminary round before posting a time of 21.42 in the finals… Had won the RMAC title in 21.51 seconds on a flat track,  mark that converted to 21.26, good for the No. 2 spot on the season-long RMAC performance list… Earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 200 as well thanks to that time… Set the school-record of 6.76 seconds in the 60-meter preliminary heats at the RMAC Championships before running to a time of 6.77 in the finals… Also occupied the No. 2 position on the RMAC season-long performance list after his opening-meet time of 6.77 seconds at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic… Named as the RMAC Track Athlete of the Week after that meet, which also saw him win the 200 in 21.48 seconds… Anchored the Mavs to a then school-record time of 3:19.59 in the 4x400-meter relay meet at that meet as well… Helped the Mavs break that record with a time of 3:19.29 at the RMAC Championships, good for fourth place… Recorded four event wins throughout the season.

2021 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in five meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned all-conference honors in both the 100 and 200 meters… Finished third in the 200 to garner first team plaudits while setting a former school-record and NCAA Division II Championship provisional qualifying time of 21.21 seconds… Was ranked fifth on the RMAC season-long performers list and 35th nationally with the altitude-adjusted mark of 21.28… Placed fifth and earned Second Team All-RMAC accolades in the 100 meters with a wind-aided mark of 10.65 after running another wind-aided race in 10.62 seconds during the preliminary round… Also stood seventh on the RMAC’s season-long performers list with a altitude-adjusted time of 10.65… Helped the Mavs win the 4x100-meter relay at the Maverick Sun Classic in 41.60 seconds, 11th fastest in school-history… Had also won the 200 meters at that meet in 21.56 seconds after winning the 100 at the Maverick Multi & Open in 10.63(w).

2021 Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in all three regular season meets of the abbreviated season before skipping the RMAC Championships… Blazed to a former school-record setting time of 6.85 seconds in the finals of the Western Slope Challenge after having set the record of 6.88 earlier in the preliminary round… Turned in each of the then five fastest 60-meter times in school history throughout the season running between 6.85 and 6.91 seconds… Also ran the 200 meters on two occasions posting a season-best time of 22.10 at the Adams State Grizzly Open… Was ranked fourth on the RMAC season-long performers list in the 60 and sixth in the 200 with converted bests of 6.89 and 21.84.

2020 Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20 Indoor (Freshman): Competed in the sprints at four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Qualified for the finals at the conference meet in both the 60 and 200 meters… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors in the 60 after placing second with a time of 6.94 seconds… Had run a season-best time of 6.93 seconds in the preliminary heats… Was tied for sixth on the season-long RMAC performers list with the altitude-adjusted time of 6.97… Posted a time of 22.56 in the 200-meter preliminaries to qualify sixth before being disqualified in the finals… Had posted a season-best time of 21.95 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational two weeks earlier… Was seventh on the RMAC season-long performers list with an altitude-adjusted time of 22.02… Had finished second in the 60 and third in the 200 at The Power 5 meet to begin his season.

Prep: Won the 2019 CHSAA 5A state title in the 200 meters while placing third in the 100 as a senior for Gateway HS… Won the East Metro Athletic Conference title in the 100, 200 and 400 for the Marty Wittmer coached Olympians… Also swept those league titles as a junior in 2018 before going on to finish second at the state meet in the 200… Was fifth in both the 100 and 400 that year… Has PR’s of 10.72 (100), 21.60 (200) and 48.82 (400)… Also had an indoor 60m PR of 6.93... Was named as the EMAC Athlete of the Year twice... Was a 2-year all-state selection and was the team leader for three years.

Personal: Is majoring in physical education… Son of Maribel Williams… Has three older brothers (Xavier, Ismail and Dominic)… Wants to become a teacher, mentor and influencer to those of the younger generation as well as to build my own youth track club for those who potential but lack the socioeconomic resources to thrive… Enjoys kicking it with friends, reading a book, listening to music or simply just enjoy being outside... Says "I'm a big fan of the little things in life."

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because the environment around me felt like home and the people I met solidified my stay. The academic program I am in is also a very big factor for my satisfaction within CMU."
