2023 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Ran the 3K Steeplechase for the first three times in his career… Won the event in 9:38.96 at the Maverick Invite to qualify for the RMAC meet… Claimed fifth place and Second Team All-RMAC honors with a time of 9:23.60, smashing the CMU record by more than 12 seconds… Went on to lower the time even more at the APU Franson Last Chance with another school-record setting time of 9:17.81… Was ranked ninth on the RMAC’s season-long performers list with an altitude-adjusted mark of 9:15.88 from the RMAC Championships… Also ran the 1,500 meters in a career-best time of 4:00.25 at the Maverick Invite after taking third in the 5K at the CSU Pueblo Open with a time of 15:26.82… Ranks sixth in program history with his 1,500-meter time.
2022-23 Indoor (Redshirt Senior): Had a successful indoor season… Won the 3K at the Western Colorado Open in 9:08.88 before winning the 5K in 15:47.04 at the Wes Lavong Open… Went on to post a time of 8:30.99 in the 3K at the Husky Classic in Seattle, the second fastest time in program history… Also helped the Mavs to a seventh place finish and time of 10:57.06 in the distance medley relay at the RMAC Championships.
2022 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Ran at both Maverick Invite meets, setting career-best times in both… Finished the 5K in 15:26.12 at the first to rank seventh in program history… Won the 10K at the second meet with a time of 32:51.19 to put him tenth in CMU lore.
2021-22 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Ran in three meets, including the RMAC Championships during a strong season… Finished 12
th in the 3K (9:01.96) and 15
th in the 5K (16:23.30) at the conference meet… Had posted season-best times of 4:18.75 (mile) and 8:38.26 (3K) two weeks earlier at the Don Kirby Open & Elite… The mile time ranks him third in program-history… Had run to a season-best time of 15:46.13 in the 5K at the Mountaineer Open & Multi to rank seventh in program history…. Also helped the Mavs win the DMR in 11:14.96 at that meet.
2021: Redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
2020 Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20 Indoor (Sophomore): Ran at the UCCS Invitational on Dec. 14, his lone meet of the season… Finished eighth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:19.65… Also ran on a 4x400-meter relay team, that finished in 3:32.11.
2019 Outdoor (Freshman): Finished sixth in the 5K with a time fo 16:12.57 at the Spank Blasing meet hosted by CSU-Pueblo, his lone race of the season.
2018-19 Indoor (Freshman): Ran the 5,000 meters in two February meets... Posted a season-best of 16:13.63 at the Colorado Invitational.
Prep: Placed fourth in the 1600 at the 2018 Jeffco 4A/5A League Meet with a PR time of 4:29.91 during his senior season with the Mark Stenbeck coached Dakota Ridge HS Eagles... Also placed seventh in the 800 before running a PR time of 2:00.70 a week later at the Jeffco Elite Meet... Qualified for state in the 3200, finishing 15th... Had a PR of 9:38.13 at the Liberty Bell Invitational to qualify... Finished sixth in that race.
Personal: Is majoring in geology... Enjoys biking and rock climbing.
Why I Chose CMU: "It is a solid school with a variety of majors to choose from and has a good sports program."
