2022 Outdoor: Ran the 400-meter hurdles at each of CMU’s first four meets, including the RMAC Championships… Turned in a season-best of 58.96 seconds at the Maverick Invite #2 to qualify for the conference meet, where he finished 17th in 1:00.37… Selected to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2021-22 Indoor: Ran in three meets, contesting the 200 and 400-meter dashes twice each… Had season-best times of 24.74 and 52.99 in those events at the Western Colorado Open… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2021 Outdoor (Redshirt Freshman): Ran the 400 meters at each of CMU’s three home meets… Had a season-best time of 51.68 seconds at the Maverick Multi & Open… Also ran on CMU’s second place 4x400-meter relay team at the Maverick Open, helping the team post a time of 3:24.51.
 
2021 Indoor (Sophomore): Redshirt season.

As a Freshman (2019-20) at Northwest Nazarene: Competed in six indoor meets for the Nighthawks, including the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships… Finished 10th in the 400 with a PR of 51.63… Also ran on the Nighthawks’ eighth place 4x400 and distance medley relay squads… Had a season-best of 23.92 in the 200 at the Boise State Challenge and a season-best of 7.58 seconds in the Jacksons/Nike Invitational... The 2020 outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Prep: 2019 graduate of Teton High School… Was a 4-year letterman and served as the Timberwolves’ team captain… Won the 3A District 6 400-meter title as both a junior (2018) and senior (2019)… Set an outdoor PR of 51.68 in his 2019 win before going on to take third at the Idaho State Championships… Had placed sixth as a junior in 2018… Also finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles that year… Had a PR of 42.03 in that event… Set other PRs of 11.86 (100) and 23.52 (200) and 2:03.24 (800) as a senior in 2019.

Personal: Is majoring in construction management… Aspires to become a project engineer for a construction company… Son of Jim and Leah Otto… Has three siblings— Amanda, Josiah and Hannah… Enjoys carpentry, golfing and adventuring.

Why I Chose CMU: “Because of the construction management program and the campus.”
