2023-24 (Redshirt Junior): Redshirt season.
2022-23 (Redshirt Sophomore): Swam in eight meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Earned three second team all-America honors in relay events at the national meet… Anchored the Mavs to a ninth place finish in the 400 medley relay while swimming the lead-off legs on the 200 and 400 free relay teams that placed 14
th and 15
th, respectively… Was also an individual qualifier in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events… Placed 19
th in the 100 and 35
th in the 50… Claimed four silver medals and four first team all-conference honors at the RMAC Championships… Took second in the 100 free while also helping the Mavs to second place finishes in the 200 free, 400 medley and 400 free relays… Led off the former school-record setting 400 free relay that finished in 2:57.22 (altitude-adjusted)… Also reached the championship final in his other two individual events, pacing sixth in the 50 free and seventh in the 100 fly…. Was on the Mavs’ “B” 200 medley relay team that finished second in that heat and officially tenth overall… Combined for 42 team points in his three individual events and another 29 when accounting for his share of relay points… Had set personal-best and NCAA qualifying times in the 50 and 100 free, while winning both of those events plus two relays at the TYR CMU Invitational… Set the former altitude-adjusted school-record of 43.97 in the 100 free as the lead-off the Mavs’ meet-record setting 400 free relay team that finished in 2:57.93… Now ranks fourth in program history for the 100 Free... Posted a time of 20.15 in the 50 free to rank sixth in program history… Had a personal best time of 49.68 (adjusted) in the 100 fly as well.
2021-22 (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in eight meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Earned Second Team CSCAA All-America honors as part of the Mavs’ 200 free relay team that finished 13
th at the national meet… Won two RMAC titles and four First Team All-RMAC honors at the conference championships… Helped the Mavs win both the 200 and 400 free relays, taking the 400 in a school-record time of 2:57.22 (altitude-adjusted)… Also placed second in both the 50 and 100 free, individually… Set a since-broken school-record and personal time of 44.22 (adjusted) in the 100 free… Set a then personal best of 20.34 in the 50… Also had season-best times of 50.50 (100 back) and 49.87 (100 fly) to win the consolation finals in both to place ninth overall… Anchored the Mavs “B” relay team to the heat win in the 400 medley relay… Had helped the Mavs set former school, pool and meet record time of 1:20.05 in the 200 free relay at the A3 Performance Invitational… Won the 50 free at the CMU Duals – Day #1.
2020-21 (Freshman): Attended CMU remotely from his native Egypt.
Prep: Won a gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the Egyptian Swimming Federation National Championships… Attended Elias College.
Personal: Majoring in business administration… Son of Adel Elkady and Marwa Khalaf… Has two siblings— Karim and Yassin… Aspires to become an Olympic swimmer… Enjoys soccer and Playstation.
