2021-22 (Redshirt Junior): Competed in seven collegiate meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II Championships… Earned three more CSCAA All-America honors as the most decorated Maverick man in terms of all-America honors in CMU history (all men’s sports)… Was later selected as a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-American for Men’s At-Large Sports, becoming CMU’s first-ever men’s 3-time honoree and only one of two in all-sports history (Kristen Kirby, women’s tennis)… Was a First Team CSCAA All-America honoree in the 200 medley relay helping the Mavs to a sixth place finish at the national championships with a school-record time of 1:27.00… Also swam the breaststroke leg on CMU’s 400 medley relay team that finished ninth in a school-record setting time of 3:12.21… Was an individual qualifier in three events… Earned Second Team All-America honors in the 100 breast with a 12th place finish thanks to a season-best time of 53.94 seconds… Also turned in season-best times of 1:59.67 (200 breast) and 1:49.75 (200 IM) to finish 19th and 29th, respectively…  Won two RMAC titles and four First Team All-RMAC honors at the conference championships… Helped the Mavs win both medley relay titles with national-qualifying times… Also placed second in both the 100 and 200 breast individual events… Placed fifth in the 200 IM and helped the Mavs win the “B” heat of the 400 free relay… Accounted for 48 team points in his individual events and another 24 ½ when accounting for his share of relay points… Swept the 100, 200 and 300 breast wins during the CMU Duals… Won the 100 breast at the A3 Performance Invitational… Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 Team and to the RMAC All-Academic Team…

2021 International: Finished third in the 50-meter breast and fifth in the 200-meter breaststroke preliminary heats at the Africa Senior Championships, held in Accra, Ghana in October.

April 2021: Went on to win the Egyptian Swimming Federation’s National Championship, held in his native Cairo, in both the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke with LCM times of 1:03.47 and 2:18.36... That meet served as the nation's Olympic selection meet.

2020-21 (Junior): Competed in a co-team-high seven meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Earned CSCAA All-America honors in all three of his events at the national championships in Birmingham, Alabama, raising his career-total to ten… Finished fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke to claim first team honors in that event for the second straight year… Also placed 11th in the 200 breast after posting a season-best time of 1:59.17 in the prelims… Set a personal-best and school-record time of 1:58.07 in the 200 IM prelims before placing 15th in the finals… Won five conference titles while earning six First Team All-RMAC certificates at the conference meet that CMU hosted… Swept the breaststroke events while swimming the breaststroke leg (2nd) on CMU’s winning 200 and 400 medley relay teams and the second leg on the winning 800 free relay team… Set the Maverick record in the 100 breast with a time of 53.50 (53.40 altitude adjusted) seconds before coming back to win the 200 in 2:00.95…Placed second in the 200 IM at 1:50.81 and won the consolation final of the 100 fly… Accounted for 66 team points, tied for third most in the entire meet, in his four individual events, and a meet-high 96 total team points, including his share of the relay points… Led the RMAC season-long performers list in three individual events (100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 IM)… Won the 200 breast at the Air Force Dual Meet Invite-Day 2… Won all three of his specialty events at the Maverick Open to earn RMAC Swimmer of the Week honors on Nov. 23… Went on to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors for men’s at-large sports for the second straight year… Was a second team selection after earning All-District 6 honors to qualify for the national ballot… Also named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team for the third consecutive campaign and to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the second.

2019-20 (Sophomore): Competed in ten meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships… Won two RMAC relay titles and earned six total All-RMAC certificates, including five first team plaudits while being named as the RMAC Swimmer of the Year by a vote of the league’s coaches… Swam the breaststroke leg on CMU’s winning 200 and 400 medley relay teams at the conference meet… Also helped the Mavs finish second in the 200 and 400 free relays… Took second individually in the 100 breast and was the top qualifier in the 200 breast preliminaries, before forgoing his opportunity in the finals to focus on the 400 free relay… Also finished fourth in the 200 IM… Went on to earn four total CSCAA All-America plaudits… Earned first team honors in the 100 and 200 breast, which were not contested due to the COVID-19 outbreak after going into the national meet seeded fourth in the 200 at 1:58.07 and 15th in the 100 at 54.38… He also finished 19th in the 200 IM with a season-best time of 1:49.33 on the first day of the meet… Also earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in both the 200 and 400 medley relays… Helped the Mavs place 14th in the 200 medley, which was completed on the first day of the meet… Helped CMU finish ninth in the 400 medley relay preliminaries to qualify for the consolation final, which was not able to be completed due to the outbreak… Also swam on the Mavs’ 18th place 200 free relay team… Set the former school-record of 1:58.07 in the 200 breast at the A3 Performance Invite… Also had a season-best time of 54.38 in the 100 breast at that meet, where he won three individual events… Also helped the Mavs set school-record times of 1:20.54 and 1:28.00 in the 200 free and medley relays, respectively at that meet….Won dual meet events against Adams State (200 IM) on Oct. 25 and was named as the RMAC Swimmer on Nov. 6 after winning the 100 breast against Air Force and Mines five days earlier… Selected to the RMAC All-Academic First Team... Later named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for men's at-large sports... Joined teammate Lane Austin as the first two Maverick men's swimmers to earn a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-America squad (Second Team)... Was selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team for the second straight year.

2018-19 (Freshman): Competed in four meets, including both the NCAA Division II and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships... Earned three Second Team/Honorable Mention CSCAA All-America honors at the national meet finishing 14th in the 100 breast while swimming the breaststroke leg on CMU's 200 and 400 medley relay teams, which finished 12th and 10th... Was also a leg on the 17th place 400 free relay team... Helped the Mavs set a former school-record time of 3:14.11 in the 400 medley relay... Had an even stronger RMAC meet winning four titles while earning six total and four first team All-RMAC certificates... Swept the breaststroke events winning both the 100 and 200 while placing second in the 200 IM. to score 57 individual points.. His 100 breast time of 54.38 was a season-best (SCY)... Helped the Mavs win the 400 medley relay and swam the opening leg on the school-record setting (since broken) 400 free relay team that posted a time of 2:59.25 to finish second... Was also a part of the second place 200 free relay team, which later posted an NCAA qualifying time of 1:20.98 in a time trial... Won the 200 breast in his only dual meet appearance at Mines... Won both breaststroke events at the A3 Performance Invitational... Posted an altitude-adjusted time of 2:00.51 in the 200... Ranks tenth in program history in the 100 free with his 400 free relay split time of 45.13... Was a CSCAA Scholar All-American.

Before CMU: Is the Egyptian national record holder in the 50-meter breaststroke for 14, 17, 18 and 19 year olds... Also holds the national 100-meter breaststroke record for 14 year olds... Placed first in the 50, 100 and 200-meter breaststroke at the Egyptian National Championships... Won the 50 and 100-meter titles at the Arab Games... Placed 23rd at the 2015 World Junior Swimming Championships in Singapore... Coached by Ahmed Abdelrahman at the El Ghaba Sporting Club... Graduated from College de la Salle in 2016.

Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering with aspirations of working with his father, Osama Elgayar... Has four siblings.
