As a Redshirt Sophomore (2022-23): Competed in four races, earning CTCA Division II First Team All-America honors with a seventh place finish at the national championships…. Had also won the individual title at the West Region Qualifier becoming just the second Maverick to do so… Earned her second straight all-region honor with that performance, which led the Mavs to the team title… Finished fourth at the Desert’s Edge Triathlon.
As a Redshirt Freshman (2021-22): Competed in all five of the team’s fall meets, including both regional qualifiers and the national championships… Led the team at both regional qualifying races… Finished 14
th overall and second amongst Division II triathletes at the Wet Regional Qualifier in Hurricane, Utah to earn CTCA All-Region honors while leading the Mavs to a third consecutive team crown… Had placed 20
th overall and eighth amongst Division II triathletes at the East Regional qualifier in Virginia… Was leading the national championship race before crashing on the bike segment… Earned CTCA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention accolades... Also placed 11
th at the Southern Hills Triathlon to begin the season before taking 15
th at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede cross country meet... Placed 17th out of 55 finishers at the USA Triathlon National Developmental Race in March, 2022.
As a Freshman (2020-21): Named as CTCA/USA Triathlon Scholar All-American... Finished fifth overall and third on the team to help lead the teams to a dual meet win at Black Hills State on Apr. 25... Had a time of 1:20.02.
Prep: 2020 graduate of West Orange High School... Finished 31st at the 2018 Sarastoa-Bradenton (Fla.) CAMTRI Junior Sprint American Cup and North American Championships... Earned the same finish at the 2019 Junior American Cup.
Club: Competed for six years with Endorphin Fitness at the Junior and Youth Elite Draft Legal Nationals… Coached by Marc Bonnet-Eymard.
Personal: Is majoring in fitness and health promotion… Wants to become a physical therapist and work with athletes… Enjoys skiing, surfing and hiking… Daughter of Jen and Scott Buchanan.
