As a Junior (2020-21): Competed in one meet, contesting the 50 free and 400 free relay in an Oct. 31 dual win over Western Colorado... Finished eighth in the 50 free with a time of 26.17 seconds... Posted a 58.52-second (100 free) lead-off leg split in the relay.
Before CMU: Competed for two years at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi… Helped set the Lady Statesmen 200 free relay record of 1:34.94 in December, 2018… Later helped the team finish 17
th at the 2019 NCAA Division II Championships as a relay only swimmer… Helped the team win the 2020 New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference title in the 400 free relay as a sophomore… Placed 14
th in the 200 fly, 15
th in the 100 free, 16
th in the 50 free and 20
th in the 200 free that year… Placed ninth in 100 free and 200 fly, tenth in the 200 free and 11
th in the 50 free as a freshman in 2019… Also a part of the 400 free relay NSISC runner-up team… Was a NSISC Scholar Athlete during both years.
Prep: Was a 16-time school record holder for the Hattie Carlson coached Eaton High School Reds during her 2015-18… Was a 2-event finalist at the 3A State Championships as both a senior (2018) and junior… Finished third in the 50 free in 2017 and fourth in 2018… Placed fourth in the 100 fly during both years… Was a 7-time conference champion… Was a Team MVP and varsity letter winner during all four years.
Personal: Is majoring in criminal justice… Wants to become a crime scene investigator… Daughter of Tammy and Gary Daniels… Has an older brother Brandt.
Why I Chose CMU: “I am a transfer from Delta State University in Mississippi and I wanted to come closer to home. Also, this team is amazing and nothing like I have experienced before in and out of the pool.”
