2020-21: Helped the Mavericks to a RMAC Championship after competing at 285 pounds during the NCAA Super Region VI Tournament...Finished his freshman season with a 5-5 record...First collegiate win came in his first collegiate match, a 3-0 win over eventual region champion Lee Herrington of Nebraska-Kearney...Went 2-2 to finish third at the NCAA Super Region VI Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: Wrestled for the Jackrabbits of Victor Valley High School and coach CT Campbell.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Criminal Justice...Son of Jose and Raquel Carranza...Has three siblings Julian, Lourdes, and Jose...Chose CMU for the academic and athletic opportunities.
