2019-20 Men's Swimming Roster
Biography
As a Freshman (2019-20): Competed at seven meets, including the RMAC Championships as an exhibition swimmer… Set personal-best times of 21.30 (50 free) and 1:42.56 (200 free) at the conference meet… Had another personal best of 46.00 in the 100 free at the A3 Performance Invitational, placing second.
Prep: Placed fifth in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free as a senior at the 2018 AIA Division II State Championships while competing for the Basha HS Bears... Coached by Andrea Courtney... Went on to finish fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 50 at the AIA Meet of Champions later that fall.
Personal: Is majoring in mechanical engineering and technology... Son of Kevin and Karen Smith... Enjoys going to Disney theme parks, watching movies, hanging out with friends and gaming with the boys.
Why I Chose CMU: "When I was was visiting CMU, I could envision myself as a student athlete in this environment. It was a surreal experience and I could not give up this chance to become a Maverick. The team culture is like nothing I've ever seen before and with my intended major I could not miss out. I'm really excited to see how college swimming will shape me."
