Biography
As a Freshman (2019-20): Competed in seven meets, including the RMAC Championships as an exhibition swimmer… Set season-best times in three of her four events at the conference meet posting altitude-adjusted marks of 24.82 (50 free), 53.93 (100 free) and 5:12.13 (500 free), the last of which was also a personal-best… Had a personal-best time of 1:56.28 in the 200 free at the A3 Performance Invitational.
Prep: Placed second in the 200 free and sixth in the 100 free at the 2018 Alaska State Championships while competing for the Palmer HS Moose in Wasilla... Won both the 50 and 100 free events at the Absaraka Conference Championships as a junior in 2017... Had began her prep career in Wyoming... Won the 50 free title in both 2015 and 2016 while swimming for Worland HS... Also finished second in the 100 free during both of those years.
Personal: Is majoring in biological sciences... Would like to continue working for the Bureau of Land Management fighting wild-land fire in a permanent job instead of seasonally.
Why I Chose CMU: "The surrounding landscape in in Grand Junction resembles my hometown very closely and the great campus and swimming program gave me great confidence that I would be taken care of and that I would have a great experience here."
