As a Sophomore (2019-20): Swam in nine meets, including the RMAC Championships⦠Scored in three of his four individual events, placing 12th in the 100 breast with a season-best altitude-adjusted time of 58.17⦠Also took 13th in the 50 free and 14th in the 100 free, contributing a dozen team points to the Mavsā championship win in the his individual events⦠Also helped the Mavs win the āBā sections of the 200 free, 400 medley and 400 free relays⦠Finished 17th in the 100 fly⦠Had a long-course personal-best of 24.20 in the 50-meter free at the CMU Long Course Invitational, held on the eve of the conference meet⦠Had other personal-best short course times of 20.74 (50 free), 46.23 (100 free) and 52.28 (100 fly) at the A3 Performance Invitational⦠His 50 free time was a NCAA āBā cut mark... Named as a CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American.
As a Freshman (2018-19): Competed in three meets, including the RMAC Championships as an exhibition swimmer... Had season-best times of 21.25 (50 free) and 58.61 (100 breast) at the A3 Performance Invite... Also had a season-bests time of 47.77 (100 free) at that meet.
Prep: Graduated from Washington High School as the school-record holder in the 100 freestyle and 400 free relay⦠Earned all-Metro, all-conference, all-district, all-state and all-America honors during his career with the Chris Cruise coached Warriors⦠Was a 3-time NISCA All-American... Placed 10th at the Iowa High School State Championships as a senior in 2018 in the 50 free (21.81)... Was the team captain as a junior and senior.
Club: Finished third in the 100 breast (1:08.39) at the 2018 Iowa Swimming Long Course Championships while representing Lin-Mar Swim Team.
Personal: Is majoring in sports management⦠Hopes to become a swim coach... Son of George and Tahnee Durin⦠Has two older siblings (Nick, Lauren)... Enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing basketball and bass fishing.
