As a Redshirt Junior (2022-23): Went 12-14 in doubles and 4-18 in singles play… Partnered with four different teammates in doubles, going 5-3 with Paige Furin at No. 2 doubles and 5-5 with Makenna Livingston in the top flight… Was 6-6 overall at No. 2 while going 11-12 in duals… Was 3-15 in singles during duals… Went 1-6 at No. 3 and 2-9 at No. 4… Selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team… Also earned Academic All-PacWest honors for the third straight year…. Was named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the fourth straight year.

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2021-22): Claimed 20 victories as a veteran on the team… Went 8-17 in singles play, including a 7-14 dual mark in the top half of the lineup… Was primarily in the No. 3 position, going 4-8… Won both of her No. 2 singles starts while going 1-6 when playing in the No. 4 spot… Had an even 12-12 doubles record, including a including an 8-11 mark in duals… Played with three different partners, appearing 16 times with Issy Coman and another seven with Maike Waldburger… Was 8-8 overall with Coman, including a 4-7 dual mark… They also had a strong fall tournament season, going 4-1… That duo was 2-6 at No. 2 and 2-1 at No. 3 in team matches… Had a 4-3 winning record with Waldburger, all in the No. 2 position… Played with Lauren Thomas once… Named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the third straight year... Selected to the Academic All-PacWest team for the second straight year.

As a Redshirt Freshman (2021): Led the team in wins (24) while also pacing the team with her 14-8 doubles record… Was second on the team in singles wins with 10, going 10-12 overall… Played mostly in the middle of the order, going 6-8 at No. 4 and 3-3 at No. 3… Also won her lone No. 2 singles match while going 0-1 at No. 5… Played with four different partners in doubles, but went 9-8 with freshman Issy Coman… The duo was 9-7 at the No. 2 doubles position… Was 4-0 with Alexi Klabunde at No. 3 doubles and posted 1-0 records with Lauren Thomas and Julianna Campos as well… Was named as CMU’s first PacWest Player of the Week on Feb. 16 after getting her season off to a 6-0 doubles and 5-1 singles start… Named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year… Also tabbed to the Academic All-Pac West team.

As a Freshman (2019-20): Posted a 1-5 singles record and 4-4 doubles mark with partners Alexi Klabunde and Carolena Campos... Was 0-4 at No. 6 singles in team matches... Went 4-2 at No. 3 doubles with Campos... Also had an 0-2 mark with Klabunde during the MSU-Denver Invitational.

Prep: Was a 3-time regional qualifier and 2018 regional semifinalist for the Calallen High School Wildcats… Served as the team captain for two years… Was a 3-time all-South Texas Team selection...  Earned three all-district honors in doubles and one in singles... Was the school’s Academic Athlete twice.

Personal: Is majoring in criminal justice…  Would like to become a lawyer... Daughter of Andy and Tami Romero… Has one sibling— Drew… Enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach and fishing.

Why I Chose CMU:” “I chose CMU because of the beautiful campus, academics and the opportunity to keep playing tennis.  CMU checked off all of my boxes for college and I really liked the team and coaches.”
