2017: Team finished in the semifinals at the NCAA National Championships...NCAA South Central Region Champions...RMAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions...All-Region selection...All-RMAC selection...Went 9-1 with a 3.12 ERA...Pitched 83.2 and had 108 strikeouts and just 32 walks...Had two double-digit strikeout games, one against New Mexico Highlands (10) on April 1 and the other against CSU-Pueblo (12) on May 11 in the RMAC Tournament...Earned a no decision in his start in the NCAA Championships against St. Thomas Aquinas.

2016: Team reached and hosted the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament...RMAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions...All-American selection...All-Region selection...RMAC Pitcher of the Year...RMAC Freshman of the Year...Made 11 appearances including 10 starts...Went 7-0 with a 0.92 ERA and opponents hit just .178 off of him...Struck out a school and RMAC record 19 batters on March 11 against MSU Denver.

High School: Played for the Buffalos of Smoky Hill High School...All-State selection.

Personal: Majoring in Business...Son of Jim and Terri McDermott...Has four siblings, Matt, Emily, Danny and Joe...Chose CMU for the location and baseball program...Playing pick up games with friends and family.
