As a Redshirt Junior (2022): Earned all-conference honors for the second straight year and third time… Was a second team selection in the outfield… Played and started 51 games, all in right field… Finished the season hitting a solid .333 (41-123)… Was second on the team in runs scores (41) while co-leading the team with 13 doubles… Also had two triples and two home runs… Drove in 22 runs… Led the team with 25 walks, aiding her to a .447 on-base percentage and .967 OPS… Was fifth in the RMAC with her walk total… Was tied for second on the team with 13 stolen bases… Was caught stealing just one time… Struck out just ten times… Recorded three outfield assists while committing just one error en-route to a .971 fielding percentage… Finished the season and her career on a 7-game hitting streak… Was named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team after going 4-for-11 with two doubles and two RBIs during the conference tournament… Nearly doubled her season-long batting average throughout the season after a slow February start.

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2021): Named as a consensus first team all-American, receiving the honors as an outfielder from both the NFCA and D2CCA… Was also a first team all-South Central Region honoree by both organizations… Received First Team All-RMAC plaudits and was named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team… Also picked to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year… Named as the RMAC Player of the Week on back-to-back occasions (Mar. 2 & 9)… Broke CMU’s single-season batting average record hitting .514, the eighth best mark in all of Division II… Led the RMAC with 75 hits, the fifth most in Division II… Also drew 20 walks and three hit by pitches to finish with a RMAC-leading .570 on-base percentage… Ranked tenth nationally with that mark, the second best in Maverick history… Was third in the country and second in the RMAC behind teammate and fellow all-American Ellie Smith with 67 RBIs… Had 27 extra-base hits, including 12 doubles, seven triples and eight home runs… Also stole 11 bases and was caught just once while scoring 65 runs, equal to seventh most in program history… Finished second in Division II and the RMAC behind national leader Brooke Doumer in runs per game (1.48)… Her seven triples led the RMAC and were tied for second most in program history… Ranked 11th nationally and second in the RMAC behind only Smith with 125 total bases, enabling her .856 slugging percentage, the fourth highest in the conference… Started all 44 games in right field… Was the No. 2 hitter in 33 of them… Was the Mavs’ lead-off hitter in seven others and hit in the No. 3 spot of the lineup in the other four… Was perfect defensively on 45 total chances (44 putouts, 1 assist)… Led the team with 24 multiple-hit games… Had three or more hits in 11 different contests, including a 5-hit performance against Adams State on Mar. 20… Went 5-for-5 with two home runs and three RBIs in that game against the Grizzlies… Had 20 multiple-RBI performances… Drove in a career-high seven runs on Apr. 10 against Black Hills State… That total was equal to second best in program-history… Had a 30-game reached base streak and a 11-game hitting streak.

As a Sophomore (2020): Was having a tremendous campaign, cut short by the COVID-19 outbreak... Was leading the team and was ranked third in the RMAC with her .458 batting average... Ended the season on a 10-game hitting streak... Reached base safely in each the last 16 games... Led the squad in numerous statistical categories as an every game starter in the outfield.. Played primarily in the lead-off spot offensively... Had 33 hits in 72 at bats... Scored 23 runs to stand 10th in the RMAC... Had five extra-base hits, including three doubles and two triples... Drew 10 walks and was hit by two pitches... Struck out just three times... Had a .536 on-base percentage, the fifth best mark in the RMAC, and stole five bases... Was perfect in 26 defensive chances...Started 13 games in left field and nine in right... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.

As a Freshman (2019): Earned Honorable Mention All-RMAC honors after making 47 appearances and 31 starts in the outfield... Started the year as a pinch-hitter before seizing a mid-march opportunity at a regular outfield starting position, mostly in right field... Made 25 starts there and six in left field... Hit .349 (29-83) at the plate... Had one home run, four doubles and 19 RBIs... Also walked 19 times to help register a .462 on-base percentage, the fourth highest on the team...  Stole three bases.

Prep: Earned Second Team 5A Southern Arizona All-Region honors as a senior in 2017-18 for the Sahuaro HS Cougars… Was the team’s offensive player of the year in 2016-17… Earned first team all-section honors in 2015-16… Was named Newcomer of the Year and to the second team all-section squad in 2014-15… Played alongside fellow Maverick freshman Ashley Bradford.

Club: Played summer softball for the Firecrackers AZ, coached by her mother Lisa Wedman… Helped the team win the USSSA Far West National Championship.

Personal: Is majoring in pre-medicine… Daughter of Jason and Lisa Wedman… Younger brothers are Connor and Griffin Wedman… Wants to become a pediatrician… Loves to travel… Favorite location is New York… Loves going to the beach, swimming and hiking.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I loved the campus and the environment.  I loved the way the softball program was run and felt like it would be a great fit.”
