2021 (Redshirt Senior): Competed in all six meets of CMU’s season… Was the team’s No. 2 finisher in five of them… Led the team at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede, finishing a career-best fourth in what was her third straight top-10 finish… Had started the year by placing tenth at the UCCS Rust Buster before taking fifth at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite… Went on to set a 5K career-best time of 18:22.1 at the Chile Pepper Festival, where she finished 84th… Capped her cross country career with career-best placements of 39
th (RMAC) and 52
nd (South Central Regional) in the championship meets… Set a 6K career-best of 22:13.6 at the regional in Lubbock, Texas… Became just the third Maverick women in program history to be named as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Athlete... Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll for the ninth overall time in her career.
2020 (Senior): Named to the D2 XC All-National Invitational Team after placing 25th at the meet in Lubbock, Texas... Finished that 6K race in 23:32.4... Had qualified as an individual by virtue of a career-best 42nd place finish at the RMAC Championships, where she was one of the top six individuals not on a qualifying team... Posted a 6K PR time of 23:25 and was CMU's second runner... Was also the Mavs' No. 2 finisher at the two earlier regular season meets... Finished 18th overall at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite before running a season-best 5K time of 19:32.8 to finish 28th at the Maverick Invitational... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.
2019 (Junior): Competed in all five of the Mavs' meets... Finished 68th at the RMAC Championships with a career-best 6K time of 23:30.5... Had posted a 5K career-best of 19:00.8 at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open... Had placed a season-best 15th to open the year at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite in Gunnison before taking 26th at the Roadrunner Invitational... Finished the year by placing 112th at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.
2018 (Sophomore): Competed in all five of the team's meets, finishing as the Mavs' No. 2 runner at both the RMAC and South Central Regional Championships... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll pick... Was 58th and 74th at those respective meets... Led the Mavs in each of the first three meets, posting a 26th place finish at the Joe I. Vigil Open and 31st place finish at the Mountaineer Cowboy Open... Was 95th at the Lewis Crossover, where she ran a season-best 6K time of 24:00.9... Had nearly identical times of 20:11 at the opening two meets.
2017 (Freshman): Competed in all six of the team's meets... Finished 75th at the RMACÂ and 119th at the South Central Regional Championships... Had a season-best 6K time of 24:42.5 at the regional meet... Turned in a season-best 5K time of 21:05.0 to finish 25th at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite.
High School: Ran for the Arapahoe High School Warriors...State Qualifier in the 4x800Â relay.... Was the recipient of the Steve Durden Award....Â
Placed second at the Centennial League Cross Country Championships as a senior in 2016... Had a XC 5K PR of 20:45 at the Liberty Bell Invitational that year, finishing seventh, one of four top-10 finishes throughout the season…Had track PRs of 13:08.43 (3200) and 5:48.49 (1600).
Personal: Majoring in English Literature.with a concentration in secondary education... Daughter of Mike and Kathie Parsons... Has two siblings (Dylan, Cozette).....Aspires to become a high school English teacher... Chose CMU for the opportunity to continue running and for the academics.
