2021 (Senior): Competed in all six of the team’s meets, including both championship events after taking the 2020-21 academic year off… Finished 59^th at the RMAC Championships as the team’s seventh finisher… Posted a career-best 10K time of 32:48.7 to finish 83^rd at the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals, his best NCAA regional finish of his career… Was the team’s fifth finisher at that meet… Had recorded two top-20 finishes in the earlier portions of the campaign, taking 11th at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede, his best overall finish of his career… Was the team’s fourth finisher that day… Also placed 14^th at the UCCS Rust Buster to begin the season… Was 23^rd at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite and 88^th at the Chile Pepper Festival… Named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

2019 (Junior): Competed in all five of the Mavs' meets during an award-winning season... Was named as the RMAC Summit Award Winner for having the highest GPA of any male student-athlete competing at the RMAC Championships, which the Mavs hosted... Finished 47th at the team's No. 2 finisher at the RMAC Championships... Later finished 92nd at the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals... Was also voted on to the RMAC All-Academic First Team.... Posted a career-best 8K time of 25:31 at the Fort Hays State TIger Open... Finished in the top 30 at all three of the teams' regular season meets.

2018 (Sophomore): Competed in all five of the team's meets, including both championship meets... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll pick... Placed 76th at the RMAC Championships and 105th at the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals with a 10K time of 34:19.5... Had a season-best 8K time of 26:52.6 and a season-best time of 26:39.8 (4.97 miles) at the Joe I. Vigil Open.

2017 (Freshman): Ran in five of the team's six meets, placing 90th at the RMAC Championships and 159th at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships... Had a season-best 8K time of 27:36.7 at the Fort Hays State Open.
 
High School: 2017 Senior Male Athlete of the Year...2014-2016 State Qualifier...Placed 33rd at the 2016 State Championship posting a time of 17:05.6...2015 and 2016 Jefferson County First Team All-Conference...2016 Jefferson Country Conference League Runner-up...2016 Regional Champion.

Personal: The son of Dana and Aaron Smith...Majoring in Environmental Science...Aspires to clean up contaminated sites and disturbed land...Chose CMU because it was in close proximity to many different landmarks and the campus was beautiful.
