Indoor Volleyball Bio
2018 (Redshirt Freshman): Played with Samantha Ritter, posting a 5-14 dual meet overall record, mostly in the No. 3 position... The duo went 3-11 in that flight, 1-0 in the No. 2 spot and 1-3 in the No. 4 spot... They claimed Division I wins over Missouri State and Abilene Christian... The duo also went 5-3 and took fifth at the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Sand 2's Championships.
At Northern Arizona: Appeared in 13 indoor matches,making one start at Hawai'i during the 2017 fall season at Division I Northern Arizona University... Played in 34 sets, totaling 35 kills and 19 blocks... Recorded a season-high eight kills against Utah State... Had a season-high three blocks against Arizona State and at Hawai'i... Redshirted in 2016.
High School:Â Four-year starter and letterwinner and two-year team captain at Legend HS... Named CHSAA Class 5A Second Team All-State as a senior... Received team's MVP award twice as a junior and senior... Averaged 2.5 kills and 1.3 blocks per set and hit .341 as a senior...Totaled 266 kills and 144 blocks in final season... Set single season school records for hitting percentage (.428) and blocks (158) as a junior... Set the squat and power clean records at high school... Also lettered and served as team captain in track & field for two years at Legend HS... Was the state champion in 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump as part of her club track team from 2009-12.
Club: Played for Coach Sherri Hawkins and Colorado Juniors.
Personal: Is majoring in social work... Has three younger siblings (Treyton, Kaia and Tazeya)... Plans to use her degree to become a victim advocate. "I love helping people and being able to help and change peoples' lives every day would be a dream come true."
Why I Chose CMU: "I chose CMU because I love the area and environment of it. When I was deciding on schools, I wanted to make sure that everyone liked where they are and enjoyed being there everyday. Everyone that I asked said they absolutely loved it.".
