2019-20 (Junior): Competed in ten meets, including the RMAC Championships… Earned CSCAA First Team All-America honors in the 800 free relay… Scored in all four of her individual events at the conference meet, recording 33 team points… Also earned First Team All-RMAC honors as a member of CMU’s runner-up 800 free relay team… Finished seventh in the 200 IM with a personal-best altitude-adjusted time of 2:06.73 to rank eighth in program history… Took eighth in the 200 free after posting a season-best time (altitude-adjusted) of 1:54.12 in the prelims… Also took tenth in the 100 breast and 14
th in the 200 breast (2:24.26)… Had a personal-best of 1:06.57 in the 100 breast preliminaries to rank eighth in program history… Had a season-best of 2:23.90 in the 200 breast at the A3 Performance Invitational… Named as a CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American for the second straight year... Earned a spot on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2018-19 (Sophomore): Competed in nine meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships... Anchored the Mavs' 800 free relay team to a tenth place finish at the national meet to earn her second straight Second Team CSCAA All-America honor in that event... Qualified for two championship and two consolation finals in her individual events at the RMAC Championships... Contributed 39 team points towards CMU's title run in those four events... Also helped the Mavs win the 800 free relay title in 7:33.51 to earn her first conference crown and second overall First Team All-RMAC honor... Was also on CMU's third place 400 free relay team... Took sixth in the 400 IM (4:35.90) after posting a personal-best of 4:33.89 in the preliminary heats to rank ninth in program history... Finished seventh in the 200 IM after setting a season-best of 2:07.75 in the prelims... Finished ninth in the 500 free with a season-best of 5:12.82... Was 12th in the 200 breast... Won duals in three different events taking the 200 free at Adams State (Oct. 26), the 500 free at Western Colorado (Oct. 27) and at Mines (Jan. 12)... Set a NCAA "B" Cut altitude-adjusted time of 1:53.43 in the 200 free at the A3 Performance Invitational... Also posted season-best times of 1:06.87 and 2:24.15 in the 100 and 200 breast at that meet... Ranks eighth in program history in the 200 breast... Also had a 100 free season-best time of 52.99 at that meet... Named to the First Team CSCAA Scholar All-America squad and to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
2017-18 (Freshman): Competed in 11 meets, including the RMAC and NCAA Division II National Championships... Earned Second Team CSCAA All-America honors in the 800 free relay, swimming the third leg on CMU's school-record setting and ninth place squad (7:26.36)... Also earned First Team All-RMAC honors in that event as that team finished second at the conference meet... Qualified for the championship final of the conference meet in the 200 IM, finishing eighth... Also finished 11th in the 200 free, 13th in the 100 free and 14th in the 100 breast... Won the 200 IM at the Colorado Classic and in a dual against Mines... Season best-times were 52.57 (100 free), 1:52.87 (200 free), 1:07.42 (100 Breast), 2:07.69 (200 IM), all of which came at the A3 Performance Invitational.
Prep: Won the 2017 Oregon 5A State Championships in the 100 free (53.35) as a senior for the Mountain Vista HS Cougars... Also placed second in the 200 free (1:53.94)... Had finished second in the 100 free (53.64) and 100 breast (1:08.19) as a junior in 2016 after placing third in the 100 breast and fifth in the 50 free as a freshman in 2014.
Club: Swam for the Bend Swimming Club and coach Mark Bernett… Took ninth in the 50 Free at the USA Swimming Futures Championships in Santa Clara, Calif. in August, 2017… Posted best times of 24.8 (50 Free), 52.3 (100 Free), 1:52.4 (200 Free) and 5:03.5 (500 Free) for the club.
Personal: Is majoring in elementary education... Daughter of Todd and Kory Bright... Brother is Andrew.... Enjoys camping, hiking, boating, hanging out with friends and family, being outside and eating good food... Wants to teach either third or fourth grade.
Why I Chose CMU: "I chose CMU because I liked the size of the campus, the location of the university, and because it felt like home. I love Colorado and all of the outdoor actives that CMU has to offer. I chose to go to CMU because of the swimming program as well as the many academic programs it has to offer."
