NORMAN, Okla.— The Colorado Mesa University men's golf team has been tabbed 22^nd in the 2026-27 Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches' Poll, recently released by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
Coming off their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team title and a seventh straight NCAA Regional Tournament appearance, the Mavericks received 105 points in the polling of 16 member coaches, who selected their top 25 teams.
 
The Mavs are one of three RMAC teams in the poll, sitting just behind Colorado Christian and CSU Pueblo who were picked 18^th and 19^th, respectively.  The Colorado School of Mines are also one of 34 teams in the receiving votes category.
 
CMU was picked first in the RMAC's Preseason Coaches ' Poll and received five of the seven first place votes.
 
Defending national champions Florida Southern received 13 of the 16 possible first place votes and topped the Bushnell/Golfweek poll with 430 points.  Lee picked up two first place votes and was picked second with 398 points ahead of Georgia Southwestern, Grand Valley State and Columbus State.
 
Wingate picked up the last remaining first place vote to pace the next group of five teams which includes Nova Southeastern, Lincoln Memorial, Catawba and Central Oklahoma.
 
No. 13 St. Mary's and No. 16 West Texas A&M are the top two teams from the South Central Region in the poll.
 
The Mavs will open their season on Sunday (Sept. 13) at the Travis Roy Memorial Invitational that runs through Tuesday, Sept. 15 at The Powder Horn Golf Club in Sheridan, Wyoming.
