USCSA Cross Country Ski Racing Festival Welcomes High School and Paralympic Athletes

Granby, Colorado – January 25-26, 2025 – The second annual U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Cross Country Ski Racing Festival is set to take place at Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center, hosted by Colorado Mesa University.
 
This unique event offers high school skiers the opportunity to compete alongside collegiate athletes, with registration still open for independent high school participants. Notably, for the first time, the festival is extending a warm welcome to students with Paralympic classifications, encouraging their participation in this inclusive competition.

Event Highlights:
Dates: January 25-26, 2025
Location: Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center, Granby, Colorado
Participants: Open exclusively to college and high school students
Unique Opportunity: The only USCSA race permitting non-USCSA athletes to compete 

Race Schedule:
  • Saturday, January 25:
    • 10:30 am: 15 km freestyle race for college men and non-CHSAA high school boys
    • 10:35 am: 15 km freestyle race for college women and non-CHSAA high school girls
    • 10:40 am: 3 km race for college and high school sit skiers
    • 10:45 am onwards: 7.5 km races for CHSAA high school boys and girls, and middle school categories
  • Sunday, January 26:
    • 10:00 am: Classic sprint races (1.5 km) for men and women, with qualifiers and finals throughout the day
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category for both female and male racers. Additionally, registered participants will have the chance to win products from Swix, Fischer, and Atomic.
 
This festival not only serves as a competitive platform but also fosters community and inclusivity within the skiing community. High school athletes eager to experience collegiate-level racing are encouraged to register promptly. The inclusion of Paralympic classifications marks a significant step toward broader participation, and athletes with such classifications are especially encouraged to join.
