SAN DIEGO— The nation's 23
rd-ranked Point Loma Nazarene University Sea Lions claimed a 7-0 victory over visiting Colorado Mesa University in women's tennis action on Saturday.
The Sea Lions (8-4) had four regionally-ranked players in their lineup including national No. 19 Arianna Audelo, who claimed a 6-2, 6-0 No. 1 singles win over CMU's
Makenna Livingston. The Sea Lions won all six singles matches after winning the No. 1 and 2 doubles tilts by 6-2 scores.
The No. 3 doubles match was unfinished as
Issy Coman and
Halle Romero battled against the Sea Lions' Faith Pearson and Amanda Letzring, who led 5-4 when the doubles point was clinched.
The Mavericks (4-8), who played three fellow Pacific West Conference foes in as many days on this swing through the Golden State, will be on the road against next week taking on NCAA Division I Dixie State in a doubleheader on Saturday in St. George, Utah.
