Women's Soccer Season Comes to an End in RMAC Quarterfinals

Golden, Colo. – Colorado Mesa's quarterfinal game, Tuesday evening at Stermole Soccer Stadium on the Colorado Mines campus was decided by just a single goal. The Orediggers netted the game winning goal near the 4-minute mark, and maintained the score for the remaining 86-minutes snapping the Mavericks winning streak.

CMU held their own against the nationally ranked Orediggers, matching their five shots on goal, taking nine shots in total. Emily Signorio made four saves on the night, allowing just the one goal.

Lila Dere took six shots, three aimed at the goal mouth. Haley Klasner and Addie Randel were behind the other looks at the goal.

In a unique Spring season, the Mavericks and first year head coach Megan Remec, finish 5-4-1 overall, 3-2 in conference play. They recorded four shutouts, and put up a season high five goals against Western State.

Nearly the entire Maverick lineup returns for the Fall season, including Dere who ends the season with seven goals and a team high 14-points.
