CHADRON, Neb. – A night after making just three three-pointers, the Colorado Mesa women's basketball team buried eight in the first half en route to a 78-28 win over the Chadron State Eagles on Saturday evening at the Chicoine Center.
The Mavericks buried 12 three-pointers (38.7) in the game and actually shot better from beyond the arc then from the field (38.7-38.0).

Kelsey Siemons made five of those three-pointers on her way to 17 points in the game. All of Siemons made field goals were from beyond the arc while she added eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

Kylyn Rigsby led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the field and 4-of-7 from three. She was the lone Maverick that played 30 minutes in the contest.
Colorado Mesa had four players finish in double digit scoring as the balanced attack has continued through the team's first four games.
Daniella Turner had 16 on the evening while
Natalie Bartle added 11 to round out the double figure scorers.
Colorado Mesa's defense was stifling as they held the Eagles scoreless for a stretch that lasted 12:26 of game time. The Mavericks led 39-17 with 4:31 to play in the second quarter and when they ended the scoreless stretch, they led 58-19.
The Eagles shot just 21.4 percent from the field and made just one three-point basket. Colorado Mesa held them to single digit points in three of the four quarters.
Taryn Foxen led the Eagles with 16 points on the night.
Colorado Mesa will continue their road swing to close out 2020 next weekend when they play Adams State and CSU Pueblo.
